  1. Vlog 4, fantastic, some scary stuff in there. It's like being out riding (with much better riders) but from the comfort (safety) of the office chair. Must dust off the old seatless machine.

  2. Yeah Ali, I'm a big fan of these vlogs, keep them coming, they make an interesting change to usual trials vids. Your delivery is calm yet still engaging, inspires this old boy to get out and ride.

  3. AT LAST!! Footage of the world cup, it seemed hard enough just to get homevideos in the past! Cancelled family arrangements meant i could have made it to this the nearest comp, doh! For anyone contemplating going to the worlds as a spectator then I recommend it (from my visit to Val-d'isere last year). Since observing Jack at the British champs last year I've maintained that he is in with a real chance at making it to number one, but lets not underestimate the size of the task, Coustellier was outstanding!! Massive respect for Kenny pushing on with such injury. Loving the biketrial at the moment!

  4. Watched it and thought "that's f'ing amazing" but then realised afterwards it was brakeless! Watched it again and to be honest nothing much surprises me in trials videos these days but this was an eye opener, something new, something truly different. Damn! Awesome! Keep it up.

  5. Whats with running aroung the whole arena? They have bikes don't they? Bit confused to be honest...were they the only two riders in the competition? Not even sure where the dabs were counted...

A televised competition of the world elites would be epic. Eurosport, sort it out!

UCI rules, the dabs were on the bash ring/pedal.

  6. Surely this wasn't the main event ,probably a kinda half time show during a moto trial competition . Kinda sad to see biketrials relegated to an interesting distraction although the new UCI super finals are aimed at being TV friendly .

Good point, the event was a multi dicipline mtb event with a sort of bmx/dh race loop for mtb riders, I remember Brian Lopes winning. The trials was a big part of it though but the format is still unclear, I saw another section with Vinco v's Girrard but it was still only two riders at a time but I'm sure I saw leader board which showed there were quite a few riders.

  7. Inspired by Scotty W's recent retro finds I decided to find footage of a trial I saw on Eurosport back in 1996, this clip is different to the one I have on video but it's the same trial. This trial was one of the the things that really got me into trials.

  8. 28 on the old Hope XC hubs

Back in the day ACS Claws were the freewheel to have, I remember when a friend got one and everyone else (me included) was jealous. Funny how times change.

Damn were they really that low! I remmeber aleays back pedalling before putting the power down so you knew where the EP was in the stroke. Caught up with Ed Tongue (you remmember him Al?) a few weeks back and he said he missed the old style EPs and liked the delay before the power came in - WTF? as the kids say these days. First time I tried a CK hubs I was blown away, also a shame Shimano didn't beef up the zero clutch hubs used on old Monty 26s - they were a revelation to. Anyway another great vid find by Scot W. I've got some old VHS I'd like to digitize of Marc Vinco and Thierry Girard at the ominsport palais in Paris from 1996 - was broadcast on Eurosport.
