  1. I've just gotten into trials riding and I'm 31! Nearly 32! It's an awesome sport, but it's gonna destroy my body, I just know it. Even more than freeride I can see my knees being f**ked in about 6 months. It's never too late to start
  2. Alright guys, I'm Nev, bit of an old b*****d (31!) but I've still got it in me. I live in the Orpington area (SE London) I mainly ride freeride/downhill on my Devinci Ollie. I frequent around Chicksands and Herts, love northshore, but recently after having a go of a mates trials bike (Fat Pants on here, I work with him) I fell in love with trials. I literally just got on the bike, and straight off did a few pedal kicks, so I reckon it's gonna be pretty promising once I get my bike built up! I also do some scuba diving, martial arts (hence the forum name) and star in a few movies , as an extra. I've done work for Top Gear being a safety diver and have quite a few mates in the industry of TV etc. Managed to get a Monty 219 Alp frame and frame bits off a guy on here for 40 quid so that's a real bargain, and Glen's sorted me out some forks, wheels etc, so it should hopefully be built up by the end of this month. Can't wait! So yeah, this is hopefully gonna be the post to get me validated () as Glen has told me to do. Not sure what else to write really. Just really can't wait till I get into the full members area, and also can't wait till i get my bike built up! It's like being a kid again. One question though, what do people think of an SD7 Vee brake set? I'm tempted to get the SD7 lever and calipers from work as we get it pretty cheap. Glen reckons with a decent pad setup it'll be awesome, no matter how crap the brake is (within reason of course!) Nev.
