  1. yup have been verified yesterday, but to "transfer" it will take 3-4 days buy instant bank transfer service it says?

    Sorry thats all I know.

Try the 'help' tab on your account, send them an email...they were pretty quick with a response when I contacted them.

  2. Do you have a 'verified' bank account with them?

Paypal, 'verifies' your bank account by paying two small payments under a quid into your account. These payments act as as a 4 digit code you enter into paypal to confirm your account, then it should be plain sailing from there.

  3. Was his name Pete Wright?

Fact is fact, you couldn't get an XP install disk to work. You were conned by someone who took advantage of your stupidity to allow you to pay them (I presume) to pull and wipe your hard drive.

I was in America, so No it wasn't Pete Wright (is that the guy from Cumbria?)

I just bought the computer and was trying to install my CAD software, which at the time was unsupported by VISTA.

So I took the FREE opportunity as my computer had nothing on it (being new) to start from scratch with XP Pro....Hardly stupidity.

Matt, sorry I did realize the trials-forum had turned into OTN. I was just putting forward my experience with going from Vista to XP.

  4. So when you were beta testing for Microsoft (Pete, is that you?) they built in a piece of code which stopped you from going back from an operating system that, by the very nature of beta, was unstable to a more stable operating system once beta testing was finished?

Also, how the hell does it being a beta copy negate the point I made earlier - "Also, when booting from a CD you're getting there before the computer even checks that a hard drive exists, so there's no way for the computer to know that Vista (or any other operating system for that matter including any beta copy) is installed."

    I smell bullshit.

Sorry Matt for clogging up your topic.

The guy who built my computer was test for them.

And, fact is fact I tried to install XP and it wouldn't go, so I had my hardrive pulled and wiped.

    Chill...

  5. That's completely wrong. Microsoft even gave the option for new computers that came with Vista to be downgraded at the beginning because Vista was so badly received. Also, when booting from a CD you're getting there before the computer even checks that a hard drive exists, so there's no way for the computer to know that Vista (or any other operating system for that matter) is installed. (Y)

Loop hole to me being complete wrong...I was using a Vista Beta copy, prob should have mentioned that.

  6. its not the roller coaster itself im bothered about, its being thrown around in the air in an open seat, im fine with flying as its all enclosed

Again the simple facts of a roller-coaster are; the ride is designed to play on your fear but more so it's design to be safe.

Choose your ride wisely, look at the harness styles...breath in and get the harness that extra click tighter when you get on the ride.

If there was an easy solution to getting over a fear, the world would be a very different place.

    Just think,

Yeah you are going to be scared but just for less than 1 minute on the ride, but the sense of achievement at the end, especially if you get strait back on and have another shot, will be with you for a lot longer than the ride.

  7. I work here

    iDEA

Hey dude, thanks for for taking a look. The site is being updated at the moment and this is something we are addressing. Its a bit of an odd one because most of the traffic that comes to the site comes from either repeat business, or other people who already know what we do.

But yeah, its a good point. If you click on our logo within the 'work' or 'people' section it gives an overview of what we do. Needs to be made more prominent I think though.

Just to clarify, I work as a Graphic Designer there.

    Cheers

    Rob

Yeah I found myself clicking on your clients to try to figure it out. I was thinking a whole package from interior design to graphics...or maybe even workflow. I think if it wasn't for my curiosity of design I would have given up.

Saying that the company I work for, I keep telling them they are loosing a huge amount of sales due to their pre-historic website...but they don't listen, I only design the product that get sold on them. Ha

  8. Cool (Y)

So, in trials, it's the same - no brakes = you have to commit more (plus the other 'benefits' listed above), brakes = more consistent. Everyone's a winner!

I'd have thought you would embrace this Phil, as an oldskool rider yourself! Getting 'bored' of trials and making it a new, fun challenge is what brakeless is about for me. I'll never be much good at it (certainly nowhere near as good as Rowan, Stan, Ali C, Ben Travis) but I don't care as long as I can enjoy riding again.

Brake-less doesn't appeal to me as much as a big change. I'm gagging to give 24" with brakes a shot, it seems it would suit my flowy/streety riding style better.

I've competed a lot in England where most of the time with the weather you have no brake anyway...but they are delicious when they work.

I'm really only bored of stop and hop, TGS and the comp scene...Thats just how trials has played out for me, but that still isn't enough for me to want to take my brakes off.

Like a broken record, brakes and trials make sense to me.

I'll save brake-less for park riding and dirt.

Brakes or no brakes....I ride for the same reason as most people on here...IT'S JUST FUN!

  9. You could say the same about brakeless BMX then, there is no point as it makes it harder/impossible to do certain tricks?

(Not meant to be argumentative - just making a point!)

Not meant to be argumentative - just making a point...same here

With bmx, brake-less makes them commit more. Its a fact, I've asked many bmx'ers and also in return have asked why do I run brakes on my park and DJ bike.

My answer to them, with brakes I am more consistent.

You still haven't answered that, or anything else I wrote in that other post. I know you're doing this to try and put people's backs up, but you might want to do a better job of it so you don't just keep coming across as an uninformed dick?

Really man, your taking it to that level grow up! its an opinion.

You are the only one getting your back up and trying to cause an argument. I chose not to answer to a lot of your post, as I'm only providing my opinion and can't help but feel you are trying to take every thing I say as an attack and for what it is not.

The topic is about the brake-less bug, a bug which I don't agree with!

Over it, this thread bores me!

  10. Again, how is that BMX?

    HEHE

You can do that with brakes my good man and more >insert Danny Mac video here <

And they are all trials moves...on trials gearing.

In my opinion pointless...leave your brake on your a trials rider.

If you want to do something brake-less go ride a bmx.............................................

  11. The ability to make a few people cry makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Oh my that DH bike standardization comment was too funny. I'm still laughing...actually spat out some of my Horlicks

With a trials gear ratio simply your not going to be able to generate enough speed to do 90% of what bmx riders can do. Hence trails ratio limits you to trials moves, so why not keep the brakes on and ride bigger and better!

If your lost what you have experienced in this and the previous posts, it is an opinion...I think brake-less trials is pointless you should just ride a bmx!

  12. Chalk and cheese ... Brakeless trials and bmx are totally different sports

Really if it wasn't for spiny trials gearing keeping riders tricks based around trials, your chalk and cheese really would hold no weight.

Why is it that most brake-less trials riders are choosing to ride a smaller 24" wheel? Easier to rotate, lighter, more maneuverable....like a bmx.

Your one wheel size smaller and a heavier gear away.

  13. stop being so wrong, your hurting my eyes

Ali you are no doubt one of the better trials riders in England...the reality is no matter how good you are at brake-less trials you will won't come close to the better brake-less BMX riders.

I'd almost rate brake-less MTB street higher than trials..barspin 360's off stairs?

  14. I've been wondering whether I was only thinking this because I'm part of Dirt and the lack of good looking femmes meant I was just liking the look of the most prominent one... Hopefully not, and she's actually just got hotter.

There are some beautiful girls that ride dirt and DH...My lady is a pro freerider and DH'er, absolutely beautiful girl who outside of riding is a none stop amazement, the fact she rides and rides so well is a bonus!

The scene for women on bikes in Colorado and California...OH MY!!!
