  1. I tried it previously but it can't work...if there is no snail cam on the drive side, then the chain will be rubbing the frame. What i did was i put some spacers in between
  2. of course i can run it outside but the thing is now the rotor is too near the frame! I can't even put the calipers in... now u can teach me what to do....
  3. Please allow me to clarify... Try-All hubs are very good....they absorb the impact better than most hubs The problem is Try-All hubs don't really fit well with bionic frame...but monty and Viz hubs work fine with bionic I am not sure if bionic frames are made to be like this or they don't really care about measurements....
  4. Just an advice.... NEVER use Try-All hubs on a bionic mod....they don't fit well.... Try-All hubs are too big...u need alot for modification to get it fit nicely
  5. anyway, this is the first time i am using dual disc. I have been having a hard setting up the brakes! I was using HS33 all the time and it didn't give me any problems setting it up....the main reason why i am switching to disc is because i had enough of slipped brake pads...this has given me enough injuries
  6. thanks alot guys! I will just try the various methods
  7. can you please advise how should i do it....thanks!
  8. so i should try to bend the rotor with the rotor mounted on the hub?
  9. How do you straighten a bent rotor? I couldn't find any sharp bent but it is obvious that it is not totally flat
  10. now i can see that the rotor is bent but i can't find the correct spot to bend it back. The bent is not sharp enough for me to bent it back with a spanner. Any ideas?
  11. yeah, the brake pads are brushing the rotors only at certain point I couldn't put any shims for the calipers, the spacers were for the hub axle so that the rotor is further away from the frame
  12. actually i didn't put any spacers for the caliper as the rotor is too near the frame. Instead, i put a spacer between the hub and the dropout...anyway,i placed another spacer at the other side so this is not the cause of the problem. The problem is the brake pad touches the rotor only at certain position ( i mean the wheel ) If what Elliot said is correct [the pads often rub against the disc a bit, and according to the manual], then i am not so worried...
  13. i am thinking if the wheel is misaligned or the rotor is bent...but i can't seems to find where the problem is....the brake pads are still rubbing the rotor does this happened to anyone before?
  14. i think the rotor is very slightly bent as the brake pad rubs the rotor only at certain point. However, i can't find where is the bent...it bent is definitely not obvious
  15. How do i check if there is a bent? Is there a way to flatten it back?
