  1. SO other than the stem which I am already aware of any tips/thoughts on tweaking this bike to help me be able to learn and then perfect trials moves??? Id appreciate positive tips. Dont post just to say this bike sucks or whatever cause that's nonsense!! I used to ride competitive XC and would always here people say Trek bikes or Specialized bikes suck and I find the same b.s. comments over here. Yes a lot of you pure trials guys say this frame sucks but Im sure of you put Danny Macaskill on it he'd have no problems tearing it up. SORRY for the rant but just tired of the stupid comments I keep reading throughout the site P.S. OBVIOUSLY there are better trials bikes but this bike dont suck!! for trials
  2. Yes first trials bike. I dont care about being the best rider so didnt go with a pure trials bike. I just wanna be able to progress my skills and continue to have fun If this bike vs a trials bike means I can only hop half as high I really wont care to be honest. Ive had some friends able to do some sweet moves on it so I dont think the bike is going to be an issue.its more an issue of me putting the effort into learning the skillz
  3. yeah im still not set on stem..trying different angles. rides great but wont know til I get better if the setup is optimal or bust

  5. Hey Everyone, This is what I have finally put together over the winter. I know lots of you will just hate it and say it sucks but I love her Love to hear what you guys think and open to suggestions on improvements or adjustments I can make. Swervin
  6. I have gotten the account back open again. Sorry for the disturbance and thanks for the quick help.
  7. Trevor nice ridin Im in Toronto too. Busy with school too right now. UofT but maybe when I get my bike built you can teach me some stuff lol Im just starting trials
  8. I'm thinking of Running a fox f80 fork on this same frame. Any thoughts ??? S
  9. very nice bike. I'm having the same issues with clearance for the rims. I am ordering 2 Echo Urban Fronts and should have them by Tue. I really hope they fit without issue but I guess I will know in a few days. I may be forced to using a 2.25 tire on the rims. ill let you know if I figure out anything in regards to the clearance issues on my end but in the mean time I guess you can just sit and drool all over that sick bike. S
  10. mehukatti, Beautiful bike. I just got my 09 Manifesto frame in and I think its identical as your version. Since you actually have one built up I wondered if you can help me out a bit with mine? I am unsure what size rims I can fit on her without having clearance issues. Most Rims Im seeing are insanely wide...46mm. I am deciding weather to buy to Echo Urban front rims in red or just get a black set of Alex Dx32's Im going with a - Juicy 7 carbon front brake - Magura Hs33 rear - Sram Carbon XO shifter I still need to get all the other parts so any tips would be great. I am thinking of Hope Pro II rear hub and any front hub really. I am also planning on having maybe 6 rear gears and a 28t up front as I still want to be able to ride with some speed around the city. Any help greatly appreciated S
  11. Hi Simpson, Glad to see someone on here with some respect for the Norco brand, uncommon on a lot of trials sites that Ive seen. I didn't plan on building it up that flashy or anything. Just the red rims to go with the red Norco lettering outline. No red brake levers or brake booster. They may be common from where you are from but it is rare to see any trials bike in Toronto. If you have any pics of nicely tricked out norco Manifesto feel free to post up here or any other pics you think could give me ideas as to how to deck this frame out. I guess red rims may be asking for trouble as Toronto is nuts, like so many other places for bike thief's (scum of the earth!) any other tips on how to set her up would be great guys. I am pretty firm on having gears though. at least to start ...I can change around as I go. S
  12. lankyri Toronto has really good XC riding and 'we' are building what should be a really good bike /skate park near the waterfront(slow going though). There is a lot of nice rocks and boulders near me at the lake and the financial district looks to have some nice challenges. the toy cops over here though hassle you like crazy. Simpson I didn't really understand your comment. you just don't like the look of the rims? I'm kind of gonna go for a bit of flash on the bike but not as flashy as this, however I think this bike looks nice. http://tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?produc...;category_id=47 I am having difficulty finding a set of echos near me so I guess I may go Alex rims in the end.
  13. Thanks guys I have found a store in Vancouver, much closer for me than the U.k. He has a Echo Urban front rim(40mm) which I intend to run as my rear rim. They only have one so now I just need to find a colored matched rim to use up front. I am doing a red rim scheme so the Alex rims are pretty much out. I have seen a very similar red rim which hopefully will pair well with the Echo Urban so Ill let you guys know. http://www.hbtrials.com/photos/meta/meta_p.../meta_rims1.jpg http://tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?produc...;category_id=25 I am also planning running a 28t front cassette. I know trials usually keep it smaller But I want to be able to to some street, trials and just some all around riding without being stuck under 10 mph. I have heard that Chris Akrigg runs a 28t up front no? THOUGHTS?? any other comments are greatly appreciated. S
  14. I think I am going to run a front Echo Urban rim on both the front and the back. they are double walled and 40mm wide. I have been able to find one in Canada but the other one I will have to order from www.selectbikes.com in the U.K. . Does anyone have experience dealing with them. I have heard a few issues with one of the U.K. trials shops but cant remember which one it is.
  15. I was just about to edit my post to ask if I could just use a front echo as my rear rim SO I CAN use a front rim on the rear? sorry for all the dumb questions but I have to order from overseas so I cant make mistakes. I can get the ECHO sl front rims at 38mm wide which is very likely to fit opposed to the 46mm monsters. why go the Alex32 rim?? really appreciate your help Alex Dark The echos just look so sick..wanna squeeze em in there if possible
