  1. Morning, last night I noticed when I've pulled up into a car park my car the engine top/head (I think) is making a weird tapping/popping noise, I did top the engine up with a little bit of oil earlier this evening.

    Video:

What could it be, spark plugs screwed?

  2. Rob, look on DriftWorks for the EK HSD coilivers. Quality pieces of kit, or if you can spend a little more look at Meisters Zeta S or Zeta R coilovers.

Ek looks lovely. Cypress green can come out veryyyy nice if it's looked after well.

Not looked at Rotas offering wheel wise? Slips/grids look sweet and don't have the buddyclub price tag on them.

Yeah i like the rotas but buddy clubs just do it for me, gonna have to wait for a while until i can spoil it just been laid off, perfect timing haha

  3. Looks good mate! Do you still ride btw?

no mate, not rode for nearly 2 years now, wouldn't mind a bike in spring though once it gets warmer

Looks to be in good shape! (Y)

Haha I see what you did there, take it your not a Honda fan?

  4. After my polo got a bum bashing by a bus, I was on the look out for a Honda civic vti ek4. eBay was full of battered over priced pieces of shit, so I went looking around lots of websites, independent dealers and so on and I found one!

    Here was my polo 1.4 16V 100bhp

Got a good deal on the civic and its in great condition and pretty much bog standard which is great because i want to do stuff to it overtime, vtec pulls strong, no crunches in gear changes, no rust, doesn't burn loads of oil, no smoke in vtec, low milage. Really pleased with it so much more fun compared to the polo and its quite a lot faster too.

    Plans are to:

Lower a little bit on coil overs/springs not sure yet

    Buddy club p1 wheels

    Recaro seats

    Spoonsports exhaust system

    Tegiwa intake

    Rear lip

    Front fogs

    Ek9 spoiler.

    Thats it for now.

  5. No adjustment on them unfortunately. As I say, there are oil treatments that can genuinely help them.

Something like this is supposed to work pretty well. I've never used it myself, but I've heard good things (it is hit and miss though, it's not a miracle cure, there's nothing to say the noise even really is tappets.)

Personally I'd chuck some super-cheap diesel oil in there, run it for 2 or 3 hundred miles then change it again for decent oil. Diesel oil contains higher levels of detergent than the petrol equivalent, and it'll basically act as a gentle engine flush.

I will upload a video tomorrow after I finish work of the noise it's making, hopefully that will be a bit more helpful

  6. It depends what car it is. On most stuff since the 80s they're not adjustable, but there is oil treatment available that's often pretty effective at freeing them up and quietening the engine as a result.

If it is one with adjustable tappets, then it can vary a fair bit depending on the car.

6N polo 99, just pulled up outside house the other night and it started.

  7. Louis Gaudinot was the opening fight for UFC London, pretty good to start the event, will be looking forward to his future fights. I really want to see Nate Diaz and Michael Johnson

  8. Am I the only one who thinks robbie lawler looks and behave like a shark in the cage?

    he's scary a shit!

    anyone watched ufc 171?

Not watched it yet, will probably watch it on fight pass. A few of the results I was surprised with.

UFC London was great, such a different experience being there rather than staying up late watching it on tv early in the morning, had good seats too :P

    DIAZ V HENDRICKS!!!
