  1. But why would having 'dual pull' matter when the avid bb7 is considered to be one of the best brakes out there, and that only has one pad moving?
  2. It's pretty amazing you've learned to do all that on a bmx. I started out on a race bmx with a rear v-brake and all i could do was hop up stairs. It'll 100 times easier on a mod.
  3. Noticed a few topics recently about which bike people should buy for under £500 (summer must be here!), and there's been a lot of people asking about these brakes, so how are they? Obviously they aren't going to be as good as hopes and avids, but are they better than the standard v-brakes that come on most budget bikes, how do they compare to maguras?
  4. I guess the best thing to do would be to email Ashton bikes, but at a guess i think they'd aim to have it out for the summer.
  5. Has anyone got any of these vids uploaded anywhere yet? Dieing to see them.
  6. This guy is sooo good it's unreal. Thanks for the post, amazing vid!
  7. You're right, he was just taking the piss to how disc was spelled 'dick' by mistake.
  8. Ah ok i thought you were talking about the frame. Was it last years onza's that all came with 4 bolt mounts, and they had those v-adapters? That made more sense.
  9. You really need to decide between mod or stock first. Looking at your bike background, you ride both BMX's and 26" bikes so it's not very clear cut. If you decide to go down the mod route (20") you should definitely have a good long look at the onzas. They're pretty much the best value bikes compared to the yaabaas.
  10. Shipping that frame to the US would cost twice as much as what you'd pay for the frame.
  11. That was actually pretty good. There's nothing worse when someone's only been riding for a few months and they bring out some badly filmed badly edited phone cam crap. But that wasn't at all, well edited and filmed. Can't believe you broke those forks though! Crazy. By the way did you know your are a member?
  12. How do you mean? They both have v-brakes and v-brake mounts.
  13. Tartybikes are an amazing shop. I could sit here all day praising them, and i might, but yeah i don't think tartybikes have had one dissatisfied customer.
  14. Definitely the Onza, the Yaabaa has a 20" rear wheel, which will make it difficult to upgrade, and won't feel very stable on the back wheel as the common 19" rear wheel on the bird. The onza also has a front disc which means the forks and the front hub will 'disc ready'. To get a disc on the yaabaa, you'd have to upgrade the forks, and the front hub. The yaabaa does have some nicer parts, but if you're just starting out your not really going to notice the quality of parts until you've been riding for a year or so. Bird.
