  1. Replied, cheers - I'll take it!
  2. might help I suppose! coyoteboyuk@hotmail.com please!
  3. Cheers, assuming I can get a few pics of the rim and any damage that might just tip the balance for me, cheers!
  4. ? don't getcha ? zoo pitbull (earlyish (2003/4?) with old maggie raceline Ds/hs33.
  5. Cheers for the offer (both of you) - let me nip home and see whether the frame/brake combo will fit a 47?! wide rim, if not I might take comic book guy up on his offer. Any/much damage to either of those rims or a million grinds on them? Cheers
  6. Cheers all, looks like I'll take a punt on one of those, should suit me fine. Yup I'm a 36 hole'er and they all seem to float around the +-50g mark anyway. Will get it ordered tonight so I can play next week! Not sure I'd go down the drilling it out myself route, maybe if I find its weight is a particular problem but the benefit of a nice wide rim I suppose is I don't need a DH specific tyre of 1kg proportions to save the rim.
  7. So I've thrown together a 26" build and was going to use my old D521 rim on the rear but then realised these fandagled (new to me!) 4 bolt maggie mounts require a slightly wider rim. Like miles wider. So time to add a rim to the build price, not a lot but more than I'd hoped so would like to keep it cheap but not poor quality. Over at tarty I see the Alex DX32 and a couple of others in the 30-ish quid realm, posted - which of these would you pick? As a heavy chap and not overly practiced I'm likely to give it some abuse while I get back into the swing of things, but I don't want a tank-track weight on the rear. Advice welcome, especially on other sources of parts - I know tarty are good but I like choice too. All my local shops are road/MTB oriented and basically told me to buy from tarty Cheers all!
  8. I think the point is run what you like, but accept that running water will eventually cause problems with the brake (thats just the nature of water/alu interfaces), but if you accept that you're willing to trade off lifespan for what you consider an improved feel. I personally love the stock maggie feel, never suffer pump and can't see a reason for changing, but then I do have a strong grip
  9. Evening all, I'm James. I've been dabbling with trials for a while, I used to ride every couple of weeks around Bristol but after injury and other distractions (kitesurfing) I basically forgot about trials. I recently dug out my old bike and decided to resurect it, it's an unknown super-small 26" dirt-jumpy frame with planet-x knifen forks and some random bits I put together. I'm reconsidering this build and might plump for a 20 at some point but I cant make my mind up which I'd prefer. Hello!
