i well want ago jst to see where the ideas for what we ride these days game from

GRIND = grinding away the rim to leave a roughed up edge for better brake grip
so now you can see why the chrome would be a bad i dea if you were planning on doing this....
so if you going for looks look at the base and not the walls if you are planning on using a grind

the popping noise is usually caused due to a blown tweeter within the actual speaker its self, i know you said you have checked the connections but did you check the connections inside that connect the wire end to the cone?
the popping can be caused by putting to much bass through them or just typical wear and tear

nice riding mate
some nice big gaps but you can do way more, perhaps put a bit of natural in the next one
i know others that have had to learn to side hop the other way now after learning that way and now find it harder to get up higher things

pic would help but if memory serves it would look alot better in white
or even use paint stripper and polish it as base ally, basically making it a chrome effect
this is what im planning on doin to my t-comp, anything will go with it then

so is 18 on the front a good idea?
the back is what is used to change the gearing

it will not leed to a tgs vs line because tgs is obviously better

you can mix,match and combine in my opinion

i aim currently running an 18/12 tooth with a front free wheel
what are peoples views on prefered tooth ratio and why?
i find mine is easy to use but would there be better to gap further?

again i would also suggest tensile
maybe try a front freewheel, it might be your riding style and the quicker engagement might help, just a thought

i have always been scared to ride disk because i side hop towards it and just one slip and its gone
its to easy to brake for my liking (no pun intended)

see if you get hold of something like an onza t-raptor
my mate learnt on one and said it was very good
to be honest any onza will do for a first bike they come cheap and hold out till you need something better
