I've run that set-up on a mountain bike before, but you might only be able to run a skinny rim, they're only designed for XC rims so the widest you could run would be about 30mm I reckon.
They look alright for park/spinny street stuff, but it's not really a "true" trials bike, like a comp/TGS bike. Just depends what sort of triasl you want to get into, if you want to start doing comps you'll want something longer and ligher than that if you ask me.
No that's about right with a courier, I've sold a few bikes before and they all costed about that. You can get it cheaper, but the courier tends to be not as reliable, I've heard about the bikes getting lost or turning up late. (like 2 weeks in some cases!)
