They're actually pretty good, mine don't show any signs or wear at all and i've had them for well over 2 years.
You dont ride enough, if you can make shoes last 2 years of riding lol.

Hehe, thanks for the replys guys.
I think I'll stick to normal innertubes for now, might try some latex ones in the future though .
-
Long pythons are about as long as mods come, You might want to try a longer/different bar or stem set up, Or forks with more rake.
That wont make a difference to how cramped he is, maybe try a lower/longer stem? and tilt your bars forward abit .
-
I don't think it would be worth it, maybe in big chunky places, but other than that, I wouldn't do it on top/downtubes or anything.
-
Hey, I've heard about a few people running these to save weight, are they REALLY worth the puncture risk? is there any websites what sell them cheap? like in a bulk of 10 or so?
Are they fixable if you get a puncture? and how much weight can you save over Specialized/Tesco innertubes?
Or would it just be worth cutting a few side knobbles off my Try-All tyres?
Cheers so far.

Yes Yes Yes, rockman blues ther great and ive hand mine on some really harsh grinds for ages and still over half life left and they were off my mate second hand!
And grips, i have a set of trial tech foams and ther good but can be such a pain at slipping. Used motorcycle chain lube and they stick fine but iwhen i used to ride in the rain theyll go slippy again,
I also have a set of these http://tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?produc...;category_id=17 the dmr falngelss grips, Ride with some gloves and there awesome and still good without them really.
cheers josh.
I used to use them! they are very good once they have worn down quite abit, then you don't need to use gloves, unless it's a very hot day .
I recommend Koxx croco yellows for the rear on a sharp grind, the hold is AMAZING, this is on a Try-All rim.
-
The weight is under the discription, most of them are pretty light acctually .
-
Trial-tech foam all the way
Best grips I've ever used!
-
You'd be lucky to save 0.25lbs haha, the whole rim only weighs like 1.5lbs!
I used a grinder with a cutting disc, then tidied it up with a grinding disc.
Ahh well It's fun anyway haha, how much does your front rim weigh at the moment? and what other mods have you made?
I'm looking to save as much as I can on the front end without going too silly, I've already got full alu and ti bolts
-
I used a grinder with metal cutting disc, file and some 11grit sand paper, and some 220 i think
Okay, thanks for that information, do you know how much weight you saved? and how long did it take you?
I've just started now, I'm using a dremel though, should take abit longer, but be abit safer to my nice new Try-All rim .

Not aloud to buy/sell in new members and i doubt your going to find a a deng bike with that wheelbase
But if you really want one you could just get a high bar/stem combo.
There are quite a few Deng frames out at the moment with short geometry, take a look at these.

I doubt you are going to find a decent full build bike for that amount of money, but maybe start out on an Onza bird or whatever you can get your hands on, they seem perfectly fine to learn on .

Hey, I am attempting to make my Try-All rims into single wall rims, to get the weight down as much as possible, a few riders I have ridden with say it's a good way to loose a few pounds off the bike, anyone have any ideas on what tools to be used? just a grinder and a selection of files?
Does anybody also know how much weight this will save? thinking about making the holes square and drilling the sidewalls abit, but only on the front.
Is it worth doing on the rear? I'm not very harsh but don't want to be splashing out on a new rim every 1-2 months .
Thanks for your time so far, I'll most likely have more questions once I get stuck grinding .
