  1. My daughter is riding trials as well, she is not 7 any more ;) but I have been looking for light components as well building up her bike(s). The lightest crank I have had on her bike have been the Echo SL's. I received the same comments at that time that they snapped easily (even seen a couple of pictures on this forum) , but she never had a problem with them.

Thank's for the update. I can't wait for a look at these. Any idea of price on frame and fork set up?

No not yet. Currently some of the new components are being tested both during competitions as during special testing sessions. after the World Championships they are going to work on the website and more information should become available. I will update as soon as I have news

Jack pissed it, did anyone get this sidehop? Oswald rode very well..

Nobody nailed it during the competition. Jack tried it after finishing the section in the final. It was his last section and nailed it then. But not during the competition itself. It was the only point he made in the finals!

  4. The pre-series were indeed delivered this weekend in Les Menuires for the team riders. Here is a picture of my daughters bike. It is a custom buildup, so not the standard bike. Standard it will become with hope brakes not the Brake Force One brakes as on my daughters bike.

It is a great bike. Good build quality and light. Hers is at 7.3kg, the standard bike a little bit heavier at 7.5kg.

They are working hard now on getting the production bikes out. They will sell them directly via the Crossbow website, which is still under development. And also at Vertigo dealer. It is a new brand and they want to make sure quality is good so things take time. I will update this post a soon as I have more information on the availibility of the production bikes.

  5. They are beyond prototypes now. The pre-series for the team riders should be ready for the next world cup in Les Menuires. after that normal production will start and they should become available to the market. The initial setup was that they would sell directly via an on-line webshop. Not sure if this has changed or not.

They will be sold as complete bikes, they have most of the components under the Crossbrow brand as well. But I am sure framekits will be available as well.

  6. We have an Evoc Bike Travel Bag. not sure what you have or if this one is too big for you. What I ilked about it is that I do not have to remove the rear wheel to transport the bike, it is a 24" Ozonys Curve, and that it is easy to fold it together when not used so it does not take too much place at the hotel/accomodation. I have attached a picture. As you can see it also has room for the shoes, helmet, bottle, ...

  7. Don't think it is officially out as of yet. Xavi is working on having everything ready sometime in December. selling will be done via his own on-line webshop I believe, not via local distributors. the models have been presented at EICMA together with Vertigo. Next step will be getting his webshop on-line.

  8. Pretty cool, couldn't go to all that effort and leave the end like that though, he needed to ride off it.

Have a good look at the video, he could not ride off the slackline with the safety slings attached to the his bike and himself on the slackline.

  9. Is there a reason why you waited til she was 18 to start working on her strength? If she's physically capable at say 16, working on her strength earlier on would prove beneficial when she gets older no?

It was in collaboration with her coach. He wanted her to be fully grown before starting to really work on her strength. He told us it was better for the ligaments. Don't get me wrong she has been doing workouts with redcord and also some circuit training with minimal weights. But this winter we are going to take it to the next level and work more focussed on getting more power, without forgetting technique, balance and core stability of course :)

  10. First of all, it's not a new company and second, the levers have been out there for a while already. What's your problem with me writing that a very good rider has tested them and decided to go back to HS33?

BFO don't care about Trials so why would they care if anyone writes that their product may not serve the purpose their product wasn't designed for in the first place?

don't see an issue with you writing a good rider tested them and decided to go back to HS33. That does not mean though they don't care about trials! The founder is an ex-trials rider and a lot of his ideas come from trials. Like his latest development the brakes with water in stead of oil. and we give him feedback on the product out of trials he is taking into account in his development.

As for their product not being designed for Trials, not sure the HS33's were initially designed for Trials either :) and I think a lot of riders are using MTB type of brakes, especially if you are using discs. I think only Hope made a Trials specific one and to be honest the trials brake is the same as their light Race Evo one.

That being said, I am not stating David made a mistake or does not know what he is doing! Looks like he just prefers the HS33 as other people will prefer the Racing Lines :)

  11. I agree but the fact you missed the point made by Ben made me comment

Female athletes can be as impressive as men no question

but of course, there's a reason why they compete in separate divisions ;)

maybe my first comment started all this so I m sorry

What I meant by "She'll probably never side hop or gap silly distances but she's got serious skills"

was that, with her visible physical attribute, she ll likely never going to ride in a strong/powerfull style that I usually enjoy in trials riding,

however I still enjoys very much the way she rides her bike because of her other skills (balance, composure, endurance, etc)

I hope this videos gets more comment on her actual riding and less about her clothes choice/ men vs women athletics

    She deserves it ;)

We delibirated waited and developped her balance/composure/endurace and especially technique first. Now that she has turned 18 we are going to work on her strength. The goal is not to change her style completely, she will also have the more smooth/technical style. but with the training we plan for this winter we hope she will improve a lot next season

  12. Theoretically there's nothing stopping you putting a Shimano caliper on there I guess?

That lever looks pretty nice, even though I'm not usually a big fan of excessively drilled stuff. Kudos to the guy who started that company (think he was 17 when he first got the ball rolling with it?) for just doing his own thing though, pretty ballsy move.

yes there is, it is a closed system like the Magura's and Racing line rim brakes. You could use a Racing Line Lever with the brakes though :)

We are using the lever with Racing Lines cylinders for the back brake

  13. Judging from this video she doesn't seem to have crazy strenght/bouncyness(which isn't a bad thing as she has other great skills)

but yeah some other female (such as Janine from Australia) can be really strong/powerfull

with more female involve in the sport we could for sure have the pleasure to discover some crazy female athletes :)

Correct, she still lacks some strenght but is a lot younger then J9. We are working that for next season where we expect her to be a lot stronger. But she has great technique and excellent ballance. Which gives her a lot of potential to grow, more than when at her age she would be just have a lot of power but lack technique :)

  14. Why are the lever blades so different? Ignoring the colour...

How long until someone cooks these lol?

For trials however, I could see them being good. Especially for their weight.

    Cheers, Ash

They did not change the levers for this version. Levers came out 2 years ago with the Alu housing, before that it was a kind of plastic. Difference between the levers is a 2 finger lever (left one green) and a 1 finger lever (right one red). My daughter is riding with Brake Force One almost 3 years now, not yet with this verson though.
