You could be right about the reach, I'll bear that in mind. The frame is a Mission Reefer, I got it 2nd hand and I'm not sure of the size. I'm 6'2, and I feel my weight is too far forward at present, but that's prob got to do with the bars being so low.

OK, thanks for all the advice. I found a 90mm System Ex stem with 35' rise for reasonable price, should fit. BTW, do all trials frames only come in one size?

Hi Folks, I'm building up my first trials bike from 2nd hand gear, but the fork I have has too short a steerer to put spacers on, and thus the handlebars are very low with my current MTB stem. The only stems I can find with a large angle are mod stems- can I use one? Are they designed for 11/8 steerers? Cheers, Raz
