  1. Hello i have recently had a trials bike built and i have been out on it a couple of times now. I have just got in for washing it and i have noticed that the anodizing has started to rub. It has started to rub of in places were the break pad grab. There are no groves are anything to suggest that my pad had been contaminated with dirt are anything that scratched the hell out of my rim. I am just wondering if the anodizing does not stay on for long with the break pads grabbing it all the time. If so for the price of the rims i am pretty upset about as they look tacky.

    Thanks Guesty

  4. Well I'am new to the trails scene on a nice shiny new koxx frame so i think it could end in scratch's and dints :giggle: Is there anything else that people use? Abit more appealing to the eye

    Thanks

I have just had a quick look on E-bay and searched for amourdillo and downtube protector and come back with no results, But i will have a proper look later. I am just wondering if anyone has tryed the pipe insulation available at D.I.Y shops I think it is like a foam type material? And also how often are you catching the bottom of the frame? I no it might be a stupid question depending one what you are doing on your bike but i am just wondering if it is worth trying to protect it?

    Thanks

  5. Hello

As i have been looking through some of the trials pictures on the website, I have noticed some kind of protection on the bottom of the frame between the bash ring and front wheel. I am just wondering what you are using? I presume that this is there to protect the frame from scratches and dints to some extent. Do you buy it from a shop like the chainstay / chainslap are is it a D.I.Y kind of thing??

    Thanks Matt(Guesty)

  6. Hello,

I am Matt (Also known as Guesty) B) I'am 19 years old from Rossendale and live close to Lee mill quarry. I took up trials about 3 years ago on an Onza T-Mag but had to sell up due to being a skint student. I'am now currently employed by united utilities as a apprentice under ground cable Jointer and have been for just over 1 year. I don't currently have a fully built bike but hope to at the end of this week/week after. I have to say I'am not very good on a bike as yet :$ but hopefully after a bit of well spent time i will get the hang of it. I am having a 26" koxx level boss frame built for me at Aire Valley cycles and all the parts are form tarty bikes (By reading through some of the threads sounds a great shop for parts and advice). I stumbled across your forum looking for ideas and parts for the bike which i found very helpful as the site is set up with some great rules so the no stupid threads. Also i am just wondering how many people are local to me?

    Thanks

    Matt (Guesty) :D
