I ordered some veggie shins last week from chain reaction, I had an email today saying they had been shipped with any luck Ill have them in the morning. A few friends have these and they seem very effective but they dont ride trials, they ride xc/freeride. but they look like the best candidates for the job with the low profile soft padding ect. Im starting to feel a little skeptical about the sizing though now as someone said they use youth veggies and I have ordered large because they were the only ones in stock.

Ok, so iv been a member on here for a month or so already never really noticed this thread. lol but i am still a new member so I though a post would be appropriate, My name is Ryan, I live in Rossendale, Lancashire. My local spot is Lee Quarry and I dont have a car to drive anywere else I am currantly unemployed after going collage for 2 years, And my life is pretty much my bikes, i rode alot as a kid till I was about 14. Got the bug again at 17 and got a dirt jump bike for my birthday, since then i have been inspired my riders such as Ali-C, Danny Mac ect. I got a mod trials bike and realised that wasnt for me, so i got a onza hitman stock bike and absolutly love it ! im definatly more comfertable on a 26" learnt loads in the month or so iv had the bike and learning more each time i ride.. But no one to ride with at the moment so anybody local to me want to go riding ? Send me a message!

depends what bike you got mate, mod or stock?

pretty sweet for a mod, prefer stock myself but each to there own bro!

when i rode as a kid i didnt even own an helmet, since the local quarry has been turned into trails with trials sections i bought a mountain bike and a trials bike, i have a helmet for both! full face 661 evo for my mountain bike (i like to go fast! so more protection the better!!) and a pro-tec cory nastazio lid for my trials, but i use this also whilst riding on the roads, xc ectt.... i ride with some friends who never wear helmets because they think they look uncool, i say F**K what everone thinks, who cares what u look like? i try and try and try to get my mates to wear helmets but all they say is nah itll be fine.. NEVER TAKE THE RISK ! iv had some nasty falls with and without an helmet and even just walking and triping up you can do some serious damage, its been on the news today a 21 year old guy died sliping on ice and hitting his head... not something i want to be remembered for to be honest, an idiot who could have prevented death just by wearing a helmet. there so cheap and stylish nowadays theres no reason what so ever you shouldnt have one, i live in a really chavvy area and some times get some stick for wearing one i simply explain how easy it is to do damage and they say fair enough mate i wouldnt wear one but good for you, and thats all that matters sod everyone else.

best advice would be to do your reasearch BEFORE you buy! lol when i started i went streight for the first trials i could get cheap which was a mod .. and what a mistake that was i had it for about 2 month and my progress came to a hault after a day or so of riding because i could not get the hang of it at all, had a go on my mates 26" and INSTANTLY felt more comfertable, probably because i ride a 26" jump bike regulary, so a few week later i saved up and bought a onza hitman for cheap and my progress is now back on track and every time i ride now i learn something new... so try before you buy is a must...

I run Welgo v8 copys on my jump bike there good ! really grippy but i think there would be a problem with the pins breaking ect... on my trials i run onza caged and i think there alot more suited .. there cheap and durable what more do you want? i wear etnies trainers and there a little bit too wide for my v8s my caged fit perfectly, but at the end of the day its all personal preference. so if youv got some friends who ride test out there set ups and see what feels right for you CHANGE YOUR TRAINERS FIRST though for definate. nike shox are a no no for riding, i used to use my lacoste trianers for riding before i got my etnies and my riding has improved hands down, because of the stiff but soft compound sole my grip is better and so is my power transfer... im going to invest in some 661 vegie shins very soon too so maybe thats something you could get there strong but flexible

Well first time around I was a 13 year old kid and only just really seen cycle trials, my mate had a da bomb magura pro and offerd a swap for a bmx I payed 100quid for. I sold the bike a month later because I got offerd £250, spent the money and regreted it ever since, I no now how shit the bikes are but I could have been riding for about 5 years by now if I didnt sell it, did have much cash at the time and was switching fads like no tomorrow haha we've all been there! Saw danny mac on youtube and met Ali C up at the local quarry been hooked ever since, so I got a tvee off my mate a few month back realised I didnt feel comfertable on a mod and got a stock last week and iv learnt more on the stock than i ever did on the mod, so thats basicly it .

Im on an onza hitman and I love it, Its my first stock because my tvee mod was horrible. I bought it to get into trials alot more because mod wasnt really doing anything for me, had a go of my mates stock and instantly felt alot more comfortable. I come from a mtb background so i guess thats the reason for my decision. So yeah I think theres not much point in spending lots on a first bike just got to look about for a good deal within a reasonable price range were as if you dont like it you wont loose out alot. Personaly I wouldnt have bought brand new as your first bike, iv seen much better bikes on ebay for the same price as you paid. I got my hitman bairly used for 140 tenner petrol to my dad for the lift. Still you have your bike, which is more than capable for basic trials your gonna have fun all the same on your bike or a expensive one in my opinion.

Im the same as you maxie_monty I havent got any one to ride with and basicly only just learned how to pedal kick only slightly, but know I could improve 10 times faster if i just have someone better than me to ride with and draw inspiration from...

Well, Im really new to trials so most of my experiances are on my jump bike, Im at that stage in trials now where everyday im learning so alot of ups and downs at the moment... My proudest moment on a trials was learning to back hop I think. Lol Doing the 10fter at the local quarry for the first time was the best on my jump bike, I'd had my bike for about a week only fell off once all whilst learning new things everyday So Whats Your Best Moments On Your Bike?

I started on a 20" had it for a few month and just really couldnt get the hang of it, definatly felt to small, i rode bmx as a kid but got back into mountain biking recently, jumping ect.. i got a onza hitman today and love it ! learnt more today than I ever did on my 20" wish i would have saved up at first and got the 26" .. so from my regrets I would recomend having a go on each just to see what you feel most comfertable with

ive just got a onza hitman pretty much standerd but with trial tec stem and ea30 bars, i put on a spare vee riser off my old tvee, the guy got it in may and said he had used it 4 times tops and i only give 140, im pretty new to trials but my tvee was really not for me I come from a mtb background so 26" is for me ! only had it since 6 pm and already pedal kicking and I couldnt do that on my 20" so just keep your eye out for a good deal second hand if its your first bike more for you money, with my change i can buy more components now

there onza standerd, i just got a hitman today, recon i got a crackin deal! got trial tec stem n e30 bars everything else standerd the guy got it new in may and rode it 4 times he said and you can tell, its in great condition, i give 140.. and payed my dad a 10er diesel, but he got kfc on way home so its all good haha

Anybody done it ? just wondering if its possible. will it effect it much ? is there a certain way to do it ? Cheers

not sure of the age but its in mint condition! it does have a seat post hole but no actual seat, i no its not standerd thats why i was asking if anyone new were they sold them seperatly. iv seen them once before in a comp. there more like padding on the frame than a seat to be honest but kinda stylish

Anybody no what im talking about ? My Cousin got a T-pro off ebay and it came with one, I think it looks nice but he dosent have a clue were to get one from ? Can anybody help me in my search, I think my Cuz likes it as much as I do ha! so he wont be getting rid.. Cheers his is alot smaller than an actual ashton just similer sorta shape ..

ok so i have had a tvee for a while and im pretty shite at the moment lol i am goin to pick up a hitman in the mornin only 120 pretty much new so hopefully i shud improve as of now because i really dont feel comfertable on a 20" my local spot is lee quarry ! its a pretty cool place i ride the trails alot on my hardtail dirt jumper so if anyone would like to meet up anytime for a ride that would be cool ! love meetin new people etc! and it was actualy Ali C who inspired me into trials when i met him at the quarry a few months ago so yeah message me or something ! Respect
