Has anyone actually spoken to/e-mailed Matt to see what he has to say?
I'f I knew his email I'd have sent him at least 20 messages by now.
I think I want it back as bad as everyone else stranded here, and it had to go at the worst time too.

Hello I'm fairly new here,
I made a thread a week ago and have since realized I should've been posting in here.
I started out mountain biking and doing some freeride and got interested in trials 5 or 6 years ago. I found a used echo es4r frame and built it up but stopped riding shortly after.
I started riding again 4 or 5 months ago and have been loving it since. I'm looking for a new frame to build up for next season and I can't wait!

I'm 20 and I started when I was around 16.
Most riders I know of here in the states are at least 20+ if not mid to late 20's.
You are definitely not going to be the odd man out, lets face it, we all are.

I used a punch and hammer like indiana trials and just used my 1/2" bit, It has a smaller bit on the tip to make a pilot hole.
I spent a good 3 hours working on it so I probably wont drill them bigger. If I had the choice I'd do it before the rim was laced to a hub so I could use a drill press or drill them from the inside out for a cleaner hole on the outside.
I agree you shouldn't go too close to the side walls but I think I could go another 6-8mm and be safe.
Its a fun project if you want to improve your bike without spending anything, and it gives it that nice trialsy look.

Today I decided to drill my front Rhyno lite rim and I think it came out pretty well.
The holes are 12.7mm because 1/2" was the largest bit I had on hand. I just used a power drill and a round chain-saw file to clean up the holes afterwards.
The rim is laced to a shimano deore XT hub and weighed about 1180g beforehand.
Afterwards it was +/- 1120g
60-70g isn't bad and I could easily take off another 50g with a 20mm bit.
It is by no means super light but I am happy with it being my first try at drilling anything on my bike.

Back when I was into mountain biking and freeride I saw Jeff Lenosky and Ryan leech in New World Dissorder 1-4 and was hooked. Started back hopping and and sidehopping on my 35lb fully, eventually snapped a seatstay. Somehow I got it warranted

I guess I should add some info about my riding.
At the moment I ride an echo es4r and I've been working on rear wheel moves and rear wheel control.

I made an account here but never got around to posting so here it is.
Started riding trials 4 or 5 years ago and took a break from riding until this past fall.
Hoping to get back into it for the beginning of next season and I'm working on building up a new bike over the winter.

Forged Cranks

I'm going to be buying some 170mm ISIS FFW cranks soon and at the moment It looks like it will be one of these forged cranks.
Of these 3, what do people think? I did some searching and it seems like Threads can be a problem with these particularly with the ENO freewheel.
What are some some ideas for quality freewheels that can be run with a bashring that won't break the bank?
Any help is appreciated!
