  1. I have TR brakes myself since 2010 and they have been great, just up graded my pads to TNN this week. As for the slow retract I would check the brake pad interface. I filed the sides of the square bit on the middle as it was tight on the slaves. After that it was fine and works great. This week when I got my TNN CNC pads I had to file the aluminum backing again to fit, it was way too tight I can't even get it on the slaves. After a few minutes of careful filing to fit , it now works on the TR brakes. Regarding the Ecko disk brakes, you don't have to open that orange dial thing. It seals the whole system after them installing the pistons. You need the tool is your actually rebuilding them with new piston rings which I highly doubt you have to do for a long time. Just bleed them like any other disc brakes. To me they seem to be a copy of the Hope disc brakes.
  2. Hydro Canti meaning HS 33 maguras, sorry for not being specific. I did it, bought the bike and now waiting for the bike to arrive. I went with a Louise disc front and Echo TR rear brakes on the rear. Here is the bike being shipped: http://agapitoman.multiply.com/photos/album/6/My_trials_bike#photo=1
  3. I am about to close a deal on a complete build with a shop in Canada. Than you for all the suggestions, I am going with a disc front, hydro canti on the back.
  4. Building up stock bike and was wondering about brakes. I noticed bikes with disc at front and rim brakes on the rear. I was wondering if I go the same route or run hydro canti front and back? What's the pros and cons on both set up?
  5. Recently been blessed with a baby girl. Now with me taking care of my child in the after noon, my free to ride is almost non existent . Since I have a nice size back yard I thought I start trials bike riding since I can do it relatively close to my house. Been riding bikes since twelve from BMX/Freestyle to mountain biking , road cycling and cyclocross. Trials is the only bike discipline I had not gotten into, fooled around with it with my friends bike a long time ago. I was thinking of getting the Echo Control frame to start with in short since I am only 5Ft. 6 Inches. What are the things I should look for in a frame? And I am sure I have lots of other questions, to everyone I say hi. Redster
