  2. Hello i have grinded my rim and it has gone smooth agen only after 2 rides.. :( do they last longer than is? My grind was a quite deep one so i thought it would last long but i have done the same type of grind on my front rim and its still as good as new.. I'm very confused and can anyone help?

    thanks billy

  3. I have the same rims as you and i <3 them.... :)

Also my mate has a limey but he has two carbon hopes on it..

    Nice bike though :D

thats well nice man bet it rides ace !, advice though, switch back to standard maggie hose and grind your rims, brakes performance will improve dramatically !

I think the standard maggie hoes aswell.. the braded one makes it all slugish.

  4. Hay what i do is I take the brake off the bike and pull the pads off. Then take the bleed bolts out and put it in the bath full of water. Bleed it with a syringe untill you see all the air come out of the leaver. Then put the bolts in BUT make sure the bleed bolt holes don't come out of the water because air will get in the brake and make it fell crap agen. Then its done..give it a go it works for me really well.

Also i have had water in my brake for ages and it has never froze in my brake over the winter.

Hope it helps and that its clear to you.

How would i go about getting a pair of your pads off you mike?

    Thanks

  6. Very easy to do;

    1. Place the cups just in the frame and no more (put a tiny bit of lubricant on if necessary).

    2. Wedge the whole lot in a vice .

    3. Slowly tighten the vice making sure that the cups go in evenly.

    4. To minamalise scratching of the headset cups while in the vice use a couple of blocks of wood.

I hope this is clear enough for you (Y)

    Tom

    Yea thanks thats really clear!

    thanks

  7. I do it with my dad but if your not too sure just take it to your local bike shop who should be able to do it on the spot for you!

I put a block of wood on the bench, rest the bottom of the headtube on there flat, place the top cup in and hold it in place with another block of wood and tap it in by hitting the wood so your spreading the force out over the whole thing.

If you get what I mean?!

    Ohk thanks dude.
