  2. if you do get a pro 2 make sure u get a pro 2 trial. the number of pawls and pick ups is not the only factor though for instance the diameter and the pick up size can effect the hubs strength and stiffness.

also i would only advise a king if you are going to service it fairly regularly or they can let people down (many seem to just hack the abuse and don't need any services or anything.)

  3. hey,

my fattys have decided cracking would be a good idea so i was wondering what the controls strength was like compaired to the urbans. i prefer the geonometery of the controls and the price and weight but i never realy trust the look of bent forks they just look weaker.

(sorry this spell check thing doesnt seem to work for me it wont take me to the download site and no pop-ups have been blocked?)

  4. I get a bad back from riding and nozmeister used to somthing rotten when he had his 1mm wheel base monty. resting it does seem to make a big diffrence but im pritty sure its not good for you but it feels amazing lie face down on the floor and get sombody to walk down your back it it clicks it out a bit. longer bikes seem to be less harsh on the back as well as you dont arch them as much.

  6. the swelling agents make the rubber seals get all fat and go wrong basicaly. no matter how many times u bleed them there going to leak think its new breaks to be honest the seals are only going to get worse. there are other mineral oils around i used to use castorol (if thats how its spelt) LMH but now i just go for water. i think though your friend needs some new breaks or a refund from the bike shop.

  7. i dont see how if there female riders or not makes much diffrence i have to admit if there was no riders with in a reasonable distance i wouldnt be able to ride as i wouldnt have the motivation but weather there male or female shouldnt be an issue its still sombody to ride with and its still bloody good fun.

  9. Well if i dont know what im talking about why am i a member and your still stuck here in new members. lol. That didnt mean to sound bitchy by the way. Ahh well if people want to bleed there brakes with water then please go ahead, but what annoys me most is when some random new member is throwing a tantrum about there brake freezing. But then i can say that i told them so. Any way mark my words in a few weeks when it starts to get really cold there will be atleast one topic on here about fozen brakes.

as im quite bad at english thats about it what you was saying was compleatly wrong and i know there will b a my break went funny in the cold topic but every week there is one on tar or a grind or why when i pump my tyre up it makes a snake noise and doesnt get harder...just dont read them if they annoy you.

  12. Please please please do NOT bleed your brakes with water. It may give you a slightly smoother feel but will cause you nothing but problems. For one you have to bleed them with a bit of antifreeze to stop them freezing in the cold winter. Your seals in your maggie lever expand with the water and will be a nightmare to remove without destroying them. Also Magura use there oil because it dosnt oxidise, The chemical symbol for water is H2o, This means it contains Hydrogen and OXYGEN, and after time the oxygen will be released form the water creating oxygen bubbles that will destroy your brake.

So please dont bleed your brakes with water, stick to the reccommended oil, magura dosnt speed loads of money filling there brakes with specilalist oil, when they could save a few bob and fill them from the tap!

If you bleed your brakes with water please take all of my rant in consideration and dont complain if you brake goes wrong.

right water doesnt randomly turn back into oxygen if it did it would explode when you threw it on a fire i think you might find its bonds to be extreamly strong. water does have AIR bubbles in it that is why break fluid is used it also lubricates th system. i have used water for agis and apart from freezing iv not had any problems as for the seals why would you want to remove them? you cant buy replacments any way i dont understand that bit. ohh and oxidising has nothing to do with oxygen comming out of somthing. and you can use cheaper minral based oils magura rip people off i dont often throw wobblers but if your going to get in a moodie at least know what your on about.

  13. right iv done plenty of syringe bleeds before but iv recently gone to uni and like a real winner i forgot my bleed hoseing. so iv been trying to bleed my break in my sink and i keep on doing the worst bleeds ever. i thought that it might be my sink is small so its hard to keep the hosing below the bleed holes. or if the systems realy empty do sink bleeds not work? its almost certain im doing somthing wrong so heres what im doing.

    1.fill my sink

2.put the break in and take out the bleed screws

3.push the lever down then cover the masters bleed hole with my finger as i release it

    4. do this antil no bubbles come out

    5.do my bolts up

6.cry about how bad at sink bleeds i am

    thanks for any help

    ben.
