  1. I have recently bought a monty 221 ti, now the problem is, Im in Italy...so to save the hastle of ups raping me for the cost of shipping, Im planning to bring it back here with me next time I come home in two weeks time on Ryanair. My problem, Ryanair are not liable for any damage, and my Tmag looked like the box had been kicked all around the airport when I brought that over last year... So, Im looking at just buying cheap insurance so it will cover the cost or repair, if the potential knob jockeys in the airport decide to play football with my bike. Anyone have any suggestions-links... Grazie Mille per tutti.. Cheers Derv.
  2. Reet-o The other day I sheared a link in my chain & I don't really want to bother replacing it as I'd prefer to buy a new (reliable) one, but I'm abroard currently. Ideally I'd like to buy a new mod in the near future, but until the right bike comes along I wanna fix my T-mag. So, I'd just like to see other like-minded folks opinions, should I avoid problems with my new chain not meshing with the freehub etc by buying a whole new gearing setup; or just try & fix the old one back in it & cross my fingers/insure my face? Derv?
  3. Just ride with them...after time they become hard & bat-proof (I caught a bat in my apartment a while back - random, but true). Eventually you will be able to ride with/without gloves...I stopped riding for 2 years & still didn't have problems when I started again.. Derv
  4. Yeah, I'm thinking Barcelona as it's easily acessable from the North West via Ryanair/Easyjet etc..but it's just the big question - where the feck do I start.. Has anyone here actually visited Barcelona as I need to know if will satisfy the four main requirements of any alcohol fuelled stag night/week binge - Drink, girls, beach...and obviously, more drink... DErv :)
  5. Reet-o boys n' girls, The time has come for me to organise my best-mates stag do, only problem is he wants it abroad somewhere, for a week...sounds easy enough - unfortunately, I'm in Italy ti'l Christmas & workin' a lot, which kinda doesn't help as I hardly get the time to un-biased, non-internet generated advice. I was thinking of a week in Barcelona; or a four day long weekend jobbie...anyone have any other suggestions/advice/experience in this kinda stuff, as I'm proving a tad useless - probably age related :( Anyway, other than that....my t-bag's still holding up strong, not snapped a bash-guard yet (I used to get through one every 3-4 weeks..lol) Don't get to ride as much as I'd like, but have to use the mod to ride to work everyday & on Italian roads, that ain't easy - they're fecking insane drivers?!?!!?! Ciao for now... Derv
  6. I'll prob knock my own out, but I think it's a really good idea...as there's probably going to be tons of riders who haven't met in person (I know in my case at least), but are familiar with on here... EDIT: Ahhh, bugger it, knock us one out mate if it isn't too much trouble....saves me fannyin' bout on photoshop lookin for a font etc. Cheers
  7. Any suggestions on what oil suits them best, just Im gonna get my local bike shop to bleed my brakes as A: I cant be arsed....ond B: My Dadman has cleared my bedroom out & packed it all away in the garage while I was workin in Huddersfield....the bleed nipples in there somewhere..... :ermm:
  8. Are Rb levers easy to bleed, can u use the standard magura bleed kit, or have they been twats & made it so you have to buy an Rb specific bleed kit...like a different threaded bleed nipple or something? Cheers... :ermm:
  9. Im not sure if you know or not, but another technique you can use to get good results for gradual shading on 3d objects is if, depending on what you are trying to achieve (I.e. perfect or characterful); you copy the area, paste it, then use the lighting effects tool to shade the area, then using the colour burn/dodge tools to create effective highlights/contrasts...you can always use the pen tool to create selections and save them, so's you can go back into the image and create perfect highlights I.e. for cars, bike frames, people etc.. I use it to do final renderings of my designs all the time, or just beef up 3d drawings, learnt it at peug/citroen on placement..and its a really handy technique... (Y) Hope it helps?
