i have a zoo lynx but it has a crack which i think will grow over time.
so any help for frames?
i like the speedrace but it has no bashplate so i will need a bashring but i dont think i will be able to get my freewheel off to be honest.
any other ideas?
thanks
If you liked the geometry of the lynx, get an echo lite 09 cos its the same.
thats what im going for aswell

I have echo TR bars they're really nice IMO, not too high but not too low, come in colours too where as other risers dont
Nice one man, me too
I just think they are light, good height, come in colours which is a bonus, and a very good price.
I'm not saying everyone else is wrong when they say Trialtechs are the best by no means, i'm sure they are really good considering everyone uses them.
I just like Echo TR's
Thanks for all the replies and sorry for being ignorant ^

Oh. My. God.
I know eh, "Oh. My. God.", some guy was asking for help on trials parts on trials forum. How crazy is that

How much do you guys think I should sell my monty 219 alp for
What is the spec of the bike?
We cant tell you if we dont know what the bike is like...
-
Sorry bout my abrupt answer mate but it did just sound like you were waiting for someone to approve of your choice before you ordered.
It's purely down to what the rider likes really, lots of people like the trialtechs but thats probably the geometry of them more than the strength and the price, as for the tensiles I run I just rang tartybikes up and told them what I was after and my budget and they suggested them to me and they did a good job as they feel great!
If your after some Echo's then get some, yes they are technically weaker than trialtechs but I personally don't know of any that have broken, and if they're the right shape for you then go for it, don't worry what everyone else thinks!
Right thanks mate
I will definitely consider the Trialtechs now because so many people have suggested them to me, but i am still liking the Echos.
Cheers

Right hang on lets start again and make it easy for you
The Echo bars are easily the best bars in the world x100. Definately get them and if anyone mentions trialtechs call them a c**t!!
That better??
Right yeah it really looks like that, i know. but thats not how it is.
I just want to know whhy nobody likes TR's and SL's?
You say Trialtechs are made of stronger aluminium. but does that mean they will actually last long and that TR and SL will snap?
Sorry if i came across like that^, i always do.
Really, i just wanted to know that TR and SL (mainly TR) were a good choice? Am i making a huge mistake?
Thanks.
-
Trialtechs are made of stronger aluminium
So are you saying TR or SL will snap?
If they wont snap, then i'm surely better gettin either one of them as they are lighter and the same shape as my current ones.
Right?
-
Trialtech for sure.
LOL
I know you all seem to think trialtech are good, and i'm sure theyre good, but i dont really understand how they can be so much better than TR and SL?
Only real difference is Trialtechs are heavier.
-
Does nobody think TR's and SL's are good?
I mean they are a very reasonable price, and they are also a good weight. Plus they are almost the same shape/size as my current bars, so theyd be perfect for me i would have though.
Any opinions?
Thanks for the advice before though, im not ignoring it.

Hey.
I want to know which you think are the best riser bars?
Was looking at Echo TR, Echo SL, and Try all Rage.
Any other suggestions?
-
Hey
I live in Kinross and there is hardly anyone riding here.
Anyone else live/ride in this area?
Cheers.
-
Great, turns out i DO know something about chains haha.
Thats the one i was looking at.
Thanks mate.
-
Hi.
Getting a new chain soon, wondering which is best all round?
Was looking at Trialtech but i dont know much about chains....
Anyone cos any advice?
Thanks
-
what bike do you think is the best trials bike that is out at the moment
mod bike: i like the rockman manus and alkali, but also love the echo team and lite 09.
stock bike: i like the echo pure.
-
Speed Race FANS (not the Evo one).
i was looking at that but, i really like the echo lite aswell. or the zoo lynx. are these frames good or not?
-
Hi.
I want to know, just out of interest, what you all think is the best 20" frame for natural/street trials.
Thanks.
-
get the echo, £200 can go somewhere else on the bike.
Right
Cheers for the advice.
I am more of a street rider and have only been riding about 8 months, so think i'll go with the Echo.
Thanks
-
No, I heard that mod rockmans ride horrible, and its a rockman... so not the strongest thing you could buy. Echo all the way, im possibly a bit biased considering i own one
Thanks.
I think i will stick with the echo. but have you guys got any other recommendations for frames?
-
Hi.
I am soon getting a new frame, and wondering if it is worth saving an extra £200 for the Rockman Alkali, or to just go with the Echo Lite 09?
Thanks.
-
Dude, did you even read that thread? It said like some people have never even heard of that frame snapping, or im thinking of another thread...
Echo's are awesome. Go for it. Do it. ECHO! ECHO! ECHO! They are the way forward...
Right, i just wanted to know if it was good.
I want it to last a number of years
-
Hey
I was so sure i wanted an Echo Lite 09 frame, but now i dont know.
I have just read of someone snapping their Echo frame and so i was wondering if it is a good choice, or should i get the zoo lynx?
Any replies welcome.
Thanks
-
Yes, but if you do them too tight it wrecks your bearings. Leave them loose enought to be smooth but with no play.
right great i'll give it a shot now
can you just use normal spanners?
are there any tips for doing it?
thanks a lot
-
The cones are kinda like the silver nuts but black and they need to be tight to keep your wheel tight in place.
The cones are on your axle close to the hub
Just incase you was wondering what cones are?
usually 2 spanners each side do the job for me
Ok
Thanks for the help
Erm, how exactly do you tighten cones? just like a normal nut?
-
Oh yeah.
I have a monty 219 alp.
Im pretty sure i have done the nuts up as tight as they will go.
