  1. My mate t_dubz (tom) found it for me, i'ts me who's after it, my paypal was down so we were gunna go through his, but it's up and running now and i need it sending to me. I'll email u the address mate, cheers

  2. Adam,

Do you have 2 usernames on this forum as I'm getting messsages about sending the frame from 2 different users at the moment plus the paypal payment has come from someone with a different name and I'm now very confused. Please can you email me direct to confirm your address so that I can be sure I'm sendign it to the correct address (stuart@chasetrails.co.uk)

  3. Eyup fella, It's Adam, the lad waiting on your frame, let me know when it's in the post mate, im well eager to get it built up

  4. I'm looking at using a 4bolt mtb chainset on my stock GU to replace and Onza Orbita but I need a small diameter bashing. Can anyone recommend anything? The DMR ring thing inner looks ok but I can't find anywhere stocking a 4 bolt version. I've also found a Backside Granny in 4 bolt but can't find the diameter anywhere to check if it will clear my frame. Cheers.
  5. My secondhand GU has just arrived and it needs some work. It's got hs33s on an Onza Guy fork. The problem is that the bolt spacing for the brake mounts on the fork is much larger than the magura mounts. The previous owner has fudged some bolts in to make it work but I'm not happy with this so want to sort it. Anyone able to suggest anything? Can I get some different magura brackets? Cheers, Stu.
  6. Hmm, could make for some interesting riding then. To be fair I've never ridden a proper trials bike. In the past it's been things like a 16" framed mtb with the suspension forks swapped out for rigids and a single ring fitted. I'll never set the world on fire with my riding but just fancy a go to have some fun when I get an hour spare and pick up some riding skills that I'best over the years.
  7. Ah well, it's all just riding bikes as they say. No harm done. Back on topic, I'm looking forward to getting my hands-on the bike and seeing what an arse I can make of myself.
  8. Thanks for the info all. Being a bit impatient I couldn't wait for validation and should have a deal sorted on a secondhand Gu in the next day or so. I'll post back with pics. The validation thing does seem pretty onerous, I can understand keeping retards and spammers out but what else am I supposed to post about to "earn" my votes? Maybe ask about replacing parts on a bike I don't yet own or riding tips for riding I haven't started doing yet. Does cmfitchett welcome all new users this way??
  9. Cool, thanks for the tips and the vote. The Spyrogyra did crop up in a search earlier. There are a few tatty bikes on fleabay which seem ok and it'd make a good project sorting a respray and changing some of the kit.
  10. Stu from Staffordshire. Almost 33 and thinking about dabbling in trials. I've been mountain biking for 20 years and back in the 90's modified a few small mtbs for some simple trials riding and always had a blast. I'm just wondering if I'm now too old to steer away from XC and downhill mtb now ??
  11. Cool, I had visions of his old man going after Danny!
  12. Evenin' At the ripe old age of 32 I'm thinking about getting a trials bike. As a teenager and into my early 20s I had small framed mtbs modified for a bit of basic trials type riding and had great fun. I'm thinking of something more specific to start messing about on. It needs to be cheapish with big wheels and I would prefer some sort of saddle. I'm a long time mtber at heart and am very happy to muck about with tweaking stuff to get a basic new or secondhand bike sorted. I remember Pashleys being popular in the mtb trials scene back in the day, are they worth looking at secondhand? And then what about the old Orange Zero trials? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers, Stu.
  13. How was the kid afterwards though? It may be 'funny' but the lad didn't sound too happy.
