  1. i hate the very fact that your bike exhists.

im too poor to afford going all weight saving on mine :(

just gotta live with the tank!

Ive had a tank for years mate! Jus thought i'd treat myself recently :P

  2. narr, just won't brake as good.

Everyone needs to try Stan's rear brake, I bet NO ONE would ever doubt the pads then, his brake is the best I have EVER felt!

    Word.

    I couldn't believe it when i felt it :P

  3. there isn't really a 'cheap' way of doing it if you want your bike to ride well and last. Your frame is quite heavy to start with, but as Anal said, most of the weight is in the tires and tubes.

You'll deffo feel a difference if you switch to Contis. Go for a 2.4 Mountain King supersonic on the back if you wanna lose some serious weight. The lighter conti's do puncture easy compared to Dual ply tires though!

  4. I like it.

How flexy does it all feel?

It feels surprisingly stiff despite the weight of the frame. The flexiest part of the bike are the forks (echo urbans), which I prefer to flex to aid tapping. The frame itself does feel as solid as the previous heavier models, but it's a bit harder to tell as the tyres are very springy.

  5. you won lottery or something?

and how long have you had that stem? i seem to remeber every fraem youve had its been that stem and onza bars

Cracked the onza bars, but I do like the stem. Might hav to change it soon though.

    Ooh looks very smart (Y)

What size is your sprocket? Looks miniature,

16t up front, 14t ont back. It is a bit light to be honest, might change to 18:15 soon.

is that a long or short Rossi? how does it ride?

I love the 09 control, as soon as I'm working again I think I'll have to invest.

Long mate, only rode it once, which was in liverpool last night. I could ride it straight away. Come from an 04 control frame (which was my fave geometry trials frame), i think this is now!

Rides awesome, and is insanely light.

  6. After goin to this years Koxx days, i've been tryin to get my bike as light as poss without being too silly! Got it down to 8.8kg (still more to lose somewhere :P), rides very nicely. I'm not normally a fan of high BB rise, but the +35mm feels perfect for me. Check it out.

Thanks to Phil at Select and Ads at Tarty for sortin me out various parts.

    Comments appreciated, thanks.

  7. Ive had 2 kings over the past 6-7 years. Both of which are now spares/repair.. They are dam good hubs and as a complete hub, worth their weight in gold! when it comes to servicing them and replacing separate parts, it gets expensive! Also the HD upgrades are pretty much essential for trials i find, which again isn't cheap.

I've had my pro 2 about a month and a bit now, and I love it, much simpler! Better axles too!

Hope themselves are local to me for added win not to mention the price difference... It has 24 ep's less than a king but its hardly noticable when you've riding.

  8. I haven't been on here for ages. I just thought I'd pop in and have a look at what's going on in the world of trials. And just happened to stumble across the best and most inventive video ever to be made. The editing is sweet and its well put together with a solid track. But to be honest that isn't the point, this is the most inventive, impressive, insaine, fluid riding I have and will possibly ever see. This is not trials, its something else. It incorporates all the best elements from Trials, BMX and Freeride.

Congratulations to all involved. I'm off to watch it again. :)
