The few times when youtube did this to me i used vimeo instead and it hasn't blocked any of the video's songs that i have used. Try vimeo

On that gap as said go sideways to the left, its easier. Also when you land on the edge and then you jump backwards off the bike, when on the edge try and hop forwards

A riding buddy of mine used petrol to clean his rims, then it worked well afterwards...
Hmm.. I dont know but petrol has oil in it and oil is the worst thing to get on your rim

When i had my yellows they were good on some days then others they were exactly as you described - great hold, crap bite and no sound. Try them out for a few more days, you also might need to bed them in? Obviously if your pads arent square, do that first!
