  1. When I pull the lever there's alot of play before there is any pressure and the pads move. So I took the lever blade off and used some pliars to pull the piston out a mm or two, this completely got rid of the play in the lever but when ever I pull the lever in again the piston goes back to the original position.

Is this a sticky piston? If so how do I get rid of the problem?

    Hope this made sense

    Cheers

    Henry

  2. none, it has a built in booster man (Y) ..if anything i'd go for the trialtech 2-bolt booster, i used that on my 06 and was perfect :)

Ah cheers mate, I didn't think the frame would have much flex in it from its design but wasn't sure, thanks :)

  3. Sorry bit off topic but ...

What type of booster are any of you using on a 07 frame? Im running a V atm with a shimano carbon boster but im swapping to dual maggie so any help on what booster works well on an 07 would be handy!

    I'll get a picture up later :)

  4. I was in this predicament not long ago, ended up with a half-arsed nitromors job that left bits of white primer and silver, and then I've just doodled over the frame with black permanent marker.

Do something different there's so many boring bikes out there, put hand prints or I dunno splatters on it. Could look cool.

Thinking of doing something like this: post-27302-0-66287100-1307644390_thumb.j could be quite tricky to do though

  5. Sorry to steal the thread but i thought theres no point starting a new one for a couple of questions :)

    1. Do you need a special type of spray paint or is any that says it works on metal okay?

    2. Do you put anything on top of the paint after its dried to protect it from scartches ect?

  6. Thinking of spraying my frame because I think it looks pretty boring at the moment, any suggestions? Also what type of spay paint would I need or is any fine?

  7. I need to get some isis cranks, 165 or 170 length and preferably black. I don't want to spend much but the cheapest ones on Tarty are £50+ and there don't seem to be many in the sale section at the moment so I was wondering if there are any other websites that would sell cranks cheap new or secondhand??

  8. This is how i set up my hs33:

Get an old credit card or any bit of card or plastic, whack it the gap between the rim and pads and push the cylinder so it holds the credit card in place. Then tighten the bolts whilst still pushing on the cylider then wiggle out the card and this should mean your pads are set up square to the rim.

I've only done it a few times but it works for me.

  9. The chain definitely isn't hitting the frame, I did give the threads a quick clean just with abit of kitchen paper. Tomorrow I'l take on the bottom bracket give the threads a good clean with an old tooth bursh to make sure all the dirts out, grease it up and put the bb back on and hopefuly that will have solved the problem. Cheers for the help.

  10. Recently bought a trialtech Race ISISbb from tarty bikes, I greased up the threads and fitted it but the non-drive side cup was really stiff to get all the way in. Now on the bike theres a dodgy grinding sound coming from the bb area and you can feel it vibrating the cranks. Is this just the bottom bracket bedding in? Any help would be great. Cheers in advance, Henry.

  11. I'm really trying to get into trials. Iv got a Zona Zip with a broken brake front brake and no bash guard so if anyone knows of where i can find one i would be really grateful. I ride pretty regularly and im trying to get trials riding accepted as part of my gold duke of edinbourgh as that would be amazing, has anyone ever done this before?

The actual award says that we need to be under part of a professional group or club, but do these actually exist?

Im doing D of E too, the seem to be pretty slack with checking if its a proper club, aslong as you have some proof of you doing it (e.g. pictures or videos) you should be fine, although I guess it depends what your assesor's like :)

  12. Hi everyone only been on trials-forum for a short while but i've noticed that there is alot of threads that people (including myself) have posted asking for advice on which bike to buy.

Just though it would be easier if there was one thread for everyone to ask their questions (about which bike to get), this should save eveyone time and free up space for other theads :)

    Cheers Henry

  13. Yeah Ebays always a good shout. Some real bargains on there sometimes too!

I was on the other day and found a GU, two ZOO's and an Adamant!

Im sure you'll find something mate (:

Yeah i was thinking maybe an Onza pro, i saw one that went yesterday for £150 that looked in good condition, only problem is i live it taunton and there doesn't seem to be any for sale within a couple of hours by car, and no one seems to be willing to send in in the post
