i'm sure the bike battle ran a couple of risers at a time and kinda eliminated each other.
best try and get in touch with matt tounge and see how he went about the nottingham bike battle.
eh danny mac teaching- i think its all a bit beneath him now he's a big deal!
lol
good idea.
would be interesting to see in the uk again.
the thing about the bike battle in boston? was all big name street/ free riders shredding in.. was it shoums march that got 2nd on a 6 inch full bouncer.....
kinda what the quashqui events are now i suppose.

So i have decided to give this a whirl as i had the frame sitting at home
i have retiered my pashley ghz as a wall decoration for the time being.
i know the frame is old school
the bike is short and hard...like a body building elf.
curtis t1 frame, inspired pivotal post and saddle
fatty fork, echo headset, hope stem, ea 50's, longneck lockons
pro 2 front on 721 holy roller tyre
mono trial front brake goodridge hose
pro 2 trial rear on mammoth rim trialtech carbos single speed kit with 16t trialtech cog(the fat one) minion super tacky
maggie with cnc'd heatsink coust goodrigde hose and goodridge crossover, echo mounts and echo lever blade
middleburns with heatsink cloud 9, kool chain, rohloff tensioner, gussett slim jim pedals.
i'm going to see how this rides if i dont get on with it then back to the drawing board!

i don't personally see an issue with who are members and who are not
some people look at riders and think we are the scum of the earth
you see a pierced tattooed guy you think unemployed......
if they believe in it fine- just don't ram it in my face
as with gay people, people who read the bible, quran and the kama sutra for all i care.
who gives a fuk

the keyring is f**kkking mint!
when you first hold it your like its plastic...
i think the super cool thing is its exactly 50% the size of the real on e that fits your bike!
well worth the 8 quid i think!
lol
wait till you see the next trial tech keyring!
-
from what i have read and seen of the hammersmidt its a basic planitarium cog/ gear set= loads of engagments and feel due to there being 4 smaller cogs running round the larger ones- a bit like planets rotating roung the sun(lame desprition i know!)
this is exactly the same as sturmey archer use in thier hubs...would you run a sturmey archer?
nor me!
rowan will be good to see how that goes(you might even have it when we ride together!)

I had to laugh the other day..trials does'nt get too much attention over here in Italy as there's only a handful of riders dotted about all over the country..so it made me laugh the other day when the talk at the coffee machine in work was everyone talking about trials. "Oh that bike you ride, there was a guy on the tv last night & he spun the bike around under him"...instantly, I said was it a internet video by any chance...that'll be Danny Macaskill, did he spin it around twice?.."Si, Si, Si"
...it seems that the Next Level vid made it onto national TV on 'striscia di notizia' & loads of people have been on about it..so get some more up so's I can drum up some more riding buddies over here after people take an interest!?!?
thats pretty funny
danny on itilain t.v.
what next he'll turn up all blacked up on a sprite ad.....

nokon looks pretty....
i like the way it felt....
but benjy is right shitmano cable= cheap and cheerful.

Having just met Danny for the second time (apparently- the first time was about 7 years ago) and ridden with him today I can honestly say that the title of this video is 100% accurate. The guy is simply on another level both in his riding mentality and in his absurd riding ability. He just looks at things and sees lines that no one else has ever even considered and is taking street trials to a totally new place.
Stupidly good rider and stupidly nice bloke!
and takes it up the bum if you ask nice!

ok- i have decided on a house now and i'm moving to a village called loxley just outside sheffiels.
is there any riders from that area or near by?
i will still be working at the bike shop in leeds and still rideing leeds ( mike- you ain't got rid of me!)
really just putting the feelers out is there any good riding around.
i'm more interested in street, but will play on rocks if forced
good sence of humour, not good with kids.
cheers kenny
