  1. Cheers for the comments guys!

I had this frame built up about 4 years ago, managed to put 2 cranks in it but had them welded up and its been sweet ever since. Took it out for a little spin today and it rides pretty nice [still getting used to actually riding trials again] hopefully I'll be riding more soon so I can put it through its paces...

  2. Cheers!

Yeah can't say I've seen anyone riding around in the local area but as you say the city seems a good option, if I jump on the train I'm at London Bridge in 20 mins which gives me all of South Banks area to play with...

  3. So I've not ridden trials in about 2 years now, the bug was slowly eating away at the back of my head to get back into it so I decided to build up my old old steed and get back on it!

    And here's what I created...

    Quick spec:

    Frame n' Forks - Pashley + Pashley

Echo Urban Rims - rear Hope Pro 2 Trials

XTR Levers - Avid 7 rear with Heatsink Reds and Echo Booster - Avid 5 Front - random pads

Not really had chance to go for a ride on it yet, might go out for a spin today if I get chance, also now living in London where I've not ridden before so hopefully get out on a ride with others someday, or if anyone's up for a ride some time give us a shout!

  4. I'M IN PENGE! OMGOMGOMG another rider! They're rare around here as you can tell.

I work full time and have every thursday off, and every other weekend off (this weekend coming is my weekend off)

    Lemme know when you're about.

Hahaha!! You sound as bout excited as your avatar looks!

I'm full time too - Tuesday is my usual day off and Sunday too [i work Saturday :(] But sometimes evenings whilst it's still light? Your actually just down the road from me then, I live opposite the park, crystal palace park road! Any good spots around here then? I'm poss available Sunday if you fancy it?

I live in Brockley so central london is my local spot really, but you could always catch a train. I haven't found much exciting on my doorstep so i usually take the short trip into the river and go from there.

Yeah I know it's really easy to get into the center but I was just looking for some local riders and spots whilst I was starting out again if you like. I'm sure I'll be joining the big rides soon enough!

  5. Howdy everyone.

Well the deal is I moved to London nearly a year ago now and basically haven't ridden since then, I got the bug again, got my bike working and I want to start up on the trials scene once more!

I live in Crystal Palace and wandered if there was anyone that rides around here? I also work in Clapham so anywhere around there is a possibility too. I know there are always massive rides in the city but I'm looking for just some local riders really to start off with just to get back into things. Age, ability etc is all irrelevant to me, just up for having some fun on my bike again!!

    Any takers?

    Mark.

  6. The original GHZ is a damn fine choice if you can find one :) inspireds are very nice but after having a 24 i prefer stock again

I'll think you'll find the original was the MHZ ;)

Hard question though given they will be ridden in two completely different styles. I'm gonna say I prefer the Pashley even though the Inspireds look a lot of fun. If you get the build right though I'm sure you'll love it!

  7. A designer does all the artwork basically and has idea of how it will look.

A developer will take the designs from the artworker and do all the technical stuff, coding and stuff to put it very basically to make it actually work on the internet. Without developing it, the artwork would simply be an image that no-one could interact with.

This is a very basic description, but hope you can understand it a little better now

  8. Ha, really?! Well it was a bit of both really, got stitches up the main cut that you can see but the lower bit they couldn't stitch, possibley for that reason of it being too tight. They just had to cut off the dead skin that I mangled and I'll have to wait for it to heal. Thats on my left leg, about two years ago I did similar to my right leg and needed stitches up that too, I'll try and find a picture of that one too if I can, got a dirty great scar there now though!

  9. I'm with the vee's on the front. I've got SD7 arms with a Speed Dial SL lever, heatsink reds in the CNC backings, grind, love it. Set it up nicely and it'll serve you well I promise.

Depends what you want though, my set up is very grabby, i.e no real modulation if you fancy doing stoppies and what not. If your after a bit of that along with a good bite I'd say go with either the avid or hope mono trial discs.
