Hi. Just got my first trials bike based on an onza trex. It's got lite guy forks and an onza stem. It's arrived with lots of head set spacers, about 2 inches worth. Do I set the stem at the upper position, ie use all the spacers under the stem? Can you use some above the stem, ie an inch either side? Or do I need to set the stem at it's lowest position and cut the steerer tube? Thanks.

Thanks for the support. The new bike arrived today as promised by rock n roll bikes. Very happy with it, should do the job. Had a quick ride up and down the drive in the rain. It's going to take a lot of practice!!! Little and often until my unused muscles remember what they are supposed to do.

Hi all, I'm David from Northumberland. 36 years old, 6'3 and overweight - going to learn to have some fun on a trials bike - no problems there then !! I've ordered a bike, stock which should arrive monday from rock n roll bikes. It's based on a t-Rex chassis with lite guy forks and magura front and back and drilled rims, single speed etc. This should be ok to learn? Do you think being rather large will cause any problems? Obviously no big drop offs to start with, just balance. Many moons ago I used to ride bmx, mtb, skate boards etc, so must be a mid life crisis! Does anyone know of any clubs in Northumberland or the north east? Thanks, I look forward to taking part in this forum.
