  1. Secondly, ive heard giamco is actually better thab gilles now, as in quite a bit better :S

I think maybe you getting them the wrong way round, because i have heard the opposite, and after hearing about Gilles' performance at Koxx days, it enforces the opinion.

Vid was AMAZING. That hook that he then goes on to nearly tap is crazy! Good find Ads :)

  2. Hey there fellow mac user :)

Here is a plug in that, once installed, will allow you to play almost any vid type in quicktime (which is standard on mac) including .avi. Also install this to be able to play .wmv files in quicktime.

As others have said, downloading VLC will be a back up plan - never harms to have a second media player installed.

Edit: Also, download and install this, which is the divX codec, meaning you can play vids encoded with that. (Y)

There you go, those are all the things you will need. Don't forget in future if you are searching for plug-ins like these, to put "mac" in your search so you get the right softwear.

  3. Loved the bullet time! I remember when you did it last time and thought it was such a cool idea, but it must take ages to film and edit just one move like that?

Anyway, good skills, nice editing (Y)

  4. funny you should say that!

had a 6 month ban from the uci for steroids!!!

planned it though didn't he! took them after the last round of 2005, so for 2006, he was unbeanned and coul ride again! not missing anything.

So why did he take them? What was he trying to increase his performance for? :S

Beasty vid, he is amazing, so are the rest of them, but hermance inparticular. He seems to not make an appearence for a while then suddenly he has got even better, which at that level is quite amazing.

  5. Really nice pic, looks really cool.

As for the comment, i reckon its because one shop was and still is a great success, whereas the other is a bit of a failure - jelousy :turned:

Craig had the choice of being sponsored by either shop and picked select.... OOOOPS!

  6. Sorry to bump this up, just wanted to say cheers for the replies and glad you guys liked it (Y)

Next vid should hopefully be out around easter time - might be a natural vid. I will probably see some of you guys on rides and get u to film any decent lines :)

  7. Having been on the ride with you, and from seeing those other clips, I think the best thing about it all is just that you seem to really enjoy riding (and you're damn good at it too, obviously ;)).

Cheers marky boy ;):D i do enjoy it!

not playing for me :( on either site i really wanna see this vid can someone upload it tvsgi or what ever its called please

The codec you need is this, its the divX one that its encoded with. Alrernatively it will probably work on VLC player found here.

  8. Only one thing bad! The last bit,,,,do you know how anoying it is for a camera man to be told to "stop filming now".

    lol

    (Y)

Ha ha yeah i know it is, just he was being annoying filming EVERYTHING... not even in an artistic way just like random chavs walking by, but yeah i get your point. Thanks for the comments so far (Y)

  9. If I ever wanted to explain to someone what street trials is, i would pick this video

even over a neil tunnicliffe or damon watson video

Keep it up dude, looking forward to some more stuff from you (Y)

Thanks for that - made my day! Cuffed with that comment :D

    That was sweeeet!

I thought that it was really good in terms of editing and riding.some unique and creative lines going down as well as some gobsmacking ones!

That gap from the post to the wall in london  total beast.

Had to laugh at Mike as well getting in the way of the camera and checking his stills on that gap from bench to post..

    Max...

Thanks for that, i deliberately tried to make the lines be more than just a single move, ie, not just a tap, or hook, but then leading onto another move. Thats why it has taken so long to get finished but i am glad u like it :D

  10. Well here it is guys, sorry it has taken so long in the making!

It is encoded with divX so most of you should be able to watch it. I welcome constructive critasism about both the riding and the editing.

Sorry it isn't the bst quality ever, but i had to get it under 50mgb so i could upload it on eengoegidee.... If anyone could upload it on tv.isg.si or whatever it's called then that would be great (Y)

    Fire away!

    Video 1

Faster link - Thanks to Sopde/Thinkbikes for hosting.

    and now a

I would like to thank Matt Staples very much for his part of the filming. His amazing angles and original ideas helped make me look better - Don't watch the vid for the riding, watch it for the filming by Matt

  11. Like the music, and pretty decent riding. If i were you i would change the writing, it looks quite tacky in my opinion. i always think that plain writing is best, rather than fancy colourful stuff (Y)

  12. I am using a 127.5mm bb with 'burns and it is VERY VERY close to my break cylinders, i even had to gring off part of my break pad so i could set the break up. Probably because they are really old square taper cranks, and go onto the bb further that newer ones. But be safe and get a wide one.

  13. Haven't read all the posts because i can't be arsed. Having had a Zero, a levelboss 1065, a Czar Ivan and now a Gu Typhoon, i can honestly say that all have advantages and disadvantages. Both the Gu and the Adamant are pretty similar, neither will break on you (unless you are pretty dam fat), both are very similar geo... However they have changed the Adamant for '07 so that it has less bb rise (15mm or 25mm dependent on the length) so if bb rise is what your after don't go for the 07 Adamant.

The other thing is that high BB frames feel shorter because there is a smaller distance between the BB and the top of the head tube, so if you are (say) 5'8" or over then you might be suited to the long version of the frame. I am 5'8" and i ride the long Gu and its just about right for me.

And lastly, i wouldnt order of Select Bikes if i were you :S Tarty Bikes is where it's at (Y)
