Having done a search on here I have found lots of helpful threads on what kind of bike I should buy. Onza seems to be a popular first bike and as I currently ride a mountain bike, stock would seem to be the way to go. I just need to see what is up for sale, I think I need something second hand as I have no idea if I have any chance of mastering trials being a positively ancient 42 years old. Looking for a trials bike. Been talking about learning how to ride a bike properly for years, but always just end up riding, not practicing. Seeing what you trail riders manage to achieve on two wheels has been been a bit of an inspiration and I now want to have a go myself. Just need to find myself a cheap bike to learn on, so as much as I hate ebay I'm now watching several bikes which are currently being auctioned. Just need to have a good search on here to see what people recommend for a beginner. Once I have exhausted the search option I will start asking you guys questions, I'll try not to ask anything too silly

Hello, I'm not yet a trials rider, but I'm just looking to buy a bike and learn. Currently I ride XC (generally the South Downs) and get out to a few trail centres during the year. I suppose I am another of the many who have been Inspired (pun intended) by Mr MacAskill and I generally don't need much excuse to add to my bike collection I also thought that trial riding skills would be very helpful on the more technical trails. I'm probably a bit old to start this sort of thing, but I'm hoping you can teach a old dog new tricks, this looks a good place to start anyway. Please be gentle with me
