As some of you may know some pads work better in plastic backings rather than plastic.
mix up of words
but to answer your question heatsink pads work alot better int he metal backings, means a lot less flex and a stiffer less spongey feeling brake.

what frame have you got man? problem with running a non onza hub like the echo tr are there not a true 110mm hub because of the 2 snail cams making it 116mm where as onza and i think some viz hubs are a true 110 hub. like you say you'll have to mess about with putting snail cams on both sides of the frame and just play about with them till its right. i had to do this with my onza limey 3 and my echo tr hub. ending up running one on the outside one on the inside.

a good front brake is a must. putting all your confidence in it. you wouldnt do a large gap with a slipping back brake, same for the front need to have faith that it will grip.

ive had my echo about a year now and its on its way out now. creaking and crunching. trialtech sport isnt much more and is a way better BB

Hi, needing some help!
I ordered a HS33 hydraulic the other day, along clamps and some pads. Can someone please explain how to fit the brake once I have my old V-Brake off?
Cheers,
Fraser
do you the 4 bolt mounts for the magura or 2 vee brake posts?

thats what ive found with the pads. when you first use them there brilliant best pads ive used, after a couple of months when there getting worse for wear and abit slim the performance drops dramatically and its very noticiable. cant complain though still a great pads.
