  1. Just brought a Magura Julie off ebay cheap... Came with a 160 rotor i believe... However when i bolted the disc on the wheel and the caliper to the forks the disc is too small... It's on a onza Spyro gyro.. Standard forks.. Anyone had this before ?? Know what disc i should Buy ?? Quick response be nice so i don't buy somethin i don't need
  2. Cool just need someone to show me how to ride it now!! lol bin doin what it says in martyn ashtons book and the video on youtube so guess i'll pick it up soon
  3. Sound i got some avid speed 7 levers and some tnn's for the back comin and some boosters hopefully that should sort em out.. Think my main problem is i try to 1 finger brake so i can pull the bars harder can't get used to 2 finger brakin and hoppin or wheelie in .....
  4. Sound guys good to know cause i wanna avoid grindin rims if i can
  5. Yes Mate standard onza ones at the minute....
  6. Just brought some second hand pads but didn't wanna fork out £30 on pads till i could actually do any tricks didn't realise the brakes were so critical.... Will look into modding the mini seat post for now then just waitin for my seat to come now then... Cheers Guys....
  7. First of all... I'm a bit of a tart when it comes to my bikes and stuff and have ordered some new bits without thinking first.. Got a new seat comin but as the origanal mini seat has a rivited seat post gonna need a new post.. Measuring the origanal one gives me 23.8 however the only ones i can find are 25.4.. Anyone else tried to change the seat on one ??? Can it be done by just buyin a seat post?? Have i got to fabricate something to fit?? 2ndly.... I'm new to trials and have been practising tricks outa Martyn Ashton's Tricks and techniques... But when i try wheel hops he says to pull a wheelie and stop it flippin with the brake but mine just let me slip straight off the back... I don't really wanna grind the rims are there any pads or tips to gettin the brakes workin better on a standard rim ??? Cheers Smifee...
  8. Sound Guys will keep my eye on whats on offer
  9. I'm new to trials and was just wondering what stem i should try on my onza spyro.. It feels a little small for me.. I'm only bout 6 ft.. Was thinking maybe some riser bars but by readin other posts people are on about changing stems.... Also What range tyre pressures should i be playing about with as the only other cycling i do is road and 130 psi sounds a little too high.... Also i don't like the feel of the standard brake levers... What would be a good upgrade ?? looking at some avid 7's i think ?? And last of all are shimano free wheels any good or should i get a tensile 1 ??? Cheers Smifee
  10. Sound Mate top advice... I am uming and Aring about putting discs on it and you've made perfect sense... To be fair i'm thinking i probably should of got a 24" bike but duno yet so i'm gonna swap out the brakes for some tnn pads and boosters and fit a decent free wheel just while i learn the techniques.. If you say the forks ain't that heavy i'll leave em on till they bug me Might invest in some sexy wheels too... But been looking at frames on tarty bikes and am undecided about building a because street 24" or buying a onza zoot for a 2nd bike once my wages catch up with my spendin habits ....
  11. Cheers Again i have a look on rock and rollers but avoid trials uk like a plague then
  12. Sound mate i will have a look into getting a new free wheel then.. What are tnns pads ??? What do you think to the smart guy onza forks ?? Cheers Smifee
  13. Just a Quick Question... Are there any other Decent online Trials/Bike Stores i should check out other than Tarty Bikes ?? Don't get me wrong Tarty Bikes website is cool but theres only so many times i can browse there pages and i'm always searching for that special offer ... Cheers Smifee..
  14. Hi all i'm new to bicycle trials.. I'm Smifee or Mike Smith.. I've been racing motorbikes for years now and have been convinced that i need to start gettin fit... Over this year i have lost 2 + 1/2 stone so it's not going bad... I've been doing a bit on my carrera road bike for fitness wise but due to the crap weather i haven't been able to get out much.. So after watchin some video's on Youtube i have decided Trials would be good to have a go at and get me out and about.. I've Decided on stock as i'm a tallish lad... Lookin about i see a few bikes but fancied something new and like having a seat so thought the Spyro would be the bike for me... Is there anything on the bike that will need changin soner than later to make ridin easier for me ??? Also i've been lookin at puttin Disc brakes on it but obviously the Frame doesn't have Disc brakes fixings on it.. Are the adabter brackets any good to use or should i just forget about the idea ?? Also i was lookin at the onza smart Guy forks are they much better than the steel ones on it ??? Cheers Smifee
