  1. Nice one very informative...I've using Monty brake spray at the moment but would like to try out some tar...how long does 1 application tend to last...I rise approx an hour a day and I am only really a beginner (pedal kicks and small gaps etc)?

I'm working my way up to a grind!

It doesn't seem to last all that long. I rode for a few hours and I noticed that it was a little slippy compared to when I first applied it, yet still a lot better than without it. I think you would be better off with the brake spray, and better yet with a grind. And if you are doing gaps and such I really wouldn't trust the tar, at least on my rim it seems to be sort of inconsistent and slips sometimes. I'm just practicing rear wheel hops and such right now though because I'm a noob, so the tar is good enough for me at the moment. Also, thanks for the feedback on the video. I was thinking about taking it down because one of my friends said it was common sense, but I suppose I will leave it up if you guys think it will help someone.

  2. You have got FAR to much tar on your rim! Wow! If i ever use Tar, all i do is spin the rear wheel round and brush the tar against the rim so it leave a small trail round. Do you brakes not stick?

They were fine for me, maybe next time I will use less. The rims are as smooth as it gets..so without the tar the brakes do very little. I also have some weird pads, probably not anything you are use to using.

what hoses are you running on that maggie, they look clear? are they clear?

    Nope, blue hoses.

  3. Hello everyone, I've seen a few people ask about tar, so I made this video quick today. Hopefully it can help someone out.
