  1. You're definitely missing the point. Also the point about not downloading anything suggested to you by people on the forum... trials is populated by quite an odd bunch with very diverse interests and talents. If you give them a chance there really is a wealth of knowledge on virtually any subject you care to think of, computing/software advice included. I couldn't even begin to count the number of times I've found out something very useful (but completely non bike related) on here.

The fact this is a forum about bikes means that spelling and grammar does have a place. And as has been said, getting into the habit of typing correctly and putting a bit of effort in can only stand you in good stead in the future.

thats a fair point i agree with you on this. i think we've all taken this a little to far over a few spelling mistakes though and it's completely off-topic from what this topic was originally made for so im not going to reply any more about the whole spelling thing.

  2. That's quite correct.

However, it is your fault that you can't figure out how to use the built in spell check, despite being advised several times in this thread.

Your attitude sucks. See you in 24 hours.

so you've suspended his account because he struggles to spell? plus i know im not him but i never download anything from places i dont know and so i wouldnt download anything just because some people on a forum about bikes (which has no relation to spelling and grammar and therefore it shouldnt even cause a problem unless the posts are unreadable) that i dont know get hot-headed about spelling and grammar.

  3. I actually think this side of things may actually help people more in the long run than just telling someone how to join a chain or set bar angle...

Sure, his spelling could be better but being able to spell well and using grammar isn't as useful as helping someone fix a problem or teaching them something new. he can spell bad and you can still understand him but if someone's bike has broken and they can't ride and he then helps them to fix it and carry on riding i think that is more helpful and will help whoever he helps out in the long run too because they are learning something new.

The purpose of English (notice the capital 'e' there) lessons is so that you can successfully use it in real world situations, like on forums.

This takes being anal about spelling and grammar to a new level :giggle:

  4. All well and good, but Ryan asked a question and several people who know the process very well have chimed in and pulled the fact that he writes like a moron. Whether or not you believe it's right, a potential sponsor will care about how you put yourself across in the community you have access to - that means here and not just in the 10 people you ride with. Would the company you're planning to ride from let spelling mistakes and shit grammar into their marketing material? No, so why would they support (either in a pay cheque or parts or whatever) someone who presented themselves badly - don't forget that sponsorship is just marketing for the company.

    I dislike you.

  5. As i can understand people with what they are saying i don't care if they cant spell things right. also i know ryan and he's always helping me and others out and teaches me knew thing or better techniques and tips. I didnt know much about bikes and fixing them and hes always helped me fix anything on my bike if i needed it. Also considering his age and everything he is a good rider, definitely one of the best in the group of people he normally rides with.

  6. This may sound like a stupid question, ive seen in videos a few people have pallets to mess around on at home and i want some pallets to mess around on but the only ones i get are ones i've found and they are usually rotten and snap very easily. Where do people get pallets from and how do they get them home because i cant fit any pallets in the car?
