  1. I think they're 2007. Thanks for the answers, I'll give it a go. Does anyone know what sort of oil they take? What weight?
  2. Not from the weight of the front end, only when I lift up sharply to manual or hop! (so when there is weight on the bike already)
  3. Hi all, I've got a problem my my DJ3 forks topping out every time I lift the front end, it sounds awful, and doesn't exactly inspire much confidence. I've checked the air pressure, and tried all the settings of rebound and travel, but no luck. Are they just shafted? Or are they fixable? Cheers Pete.
  4. Lower rise in a stem makes the bike easier to control on the back wheel, as you are more vertical. Higher rise stems make it easier to lift the front wheel for bunny hops. See Tarty Bikes product guide to stems here, and around 2 minutes in he explains it for you. For instance; I've just changed the bar and stem on my Zoot, to an FSA XC-190 with 100mm rise of 17 Deg, so it still feels fairly short, and 2" rise bars makes it so much easier to lift the front wheel for hops & rolling tricks as Dave said.
  5. The length of the stays/my gearing makes it impossible to get the chain length right when its slammed in, even with a half link chain. Spoke tensioner seems to be a majority fix, is there a tutorial anywhere? This is exactly what I do. Just changes when I ride it for a day. I've got some old tugs on my bmx, Ill give those a go. Thanks everyone.
  6. Hey, wondering if anyone can help me, either with a product or bodge job! My chain on my zoot is painfully annoying to set up. I have chain tugs on the bike, which set the chain to a nice tension all the way round the cranks. However after a day or two the chain loosens up when I have my right foot forwards (which is the way I ride) and not when I put left foot forward. Surely the wheel cant be moving forwards because I have the chain tugs? Is there a sprung tensioner for horizontal dropouts or a way to modify one? Thankyou in advance for any responses! Pete.
  7. I once got told i needed to "oil my brakes" because they were squeaking. Hmmm 'cause that will help them brake me!
