  1. dehydration could be the the cause,

because i have a headache too and after every tiring riding i get headaches and cramp

Quick tip guys when you have cramp, slap it with a cupped hand it eases pain alot!

  2. The back brake's ok now..the front is utter shit

There's no way I can get the lever rigid and even pulling all the regulations to the maximum, setting the pad clearance to closest possible to the disk it's just about mediocre to be nice about it

Could it be a question of worn pads? How many mm of meat do a new pair have on them?

It could be worn pads but at a guess ide say it is contaminated pads!! Get some new ones and try that!

  3. Hey guys riding on Sunday at Mill Lee Quarry, it says we all have to ride in long trousers?

Never ridden a trial competitavely and i always ride in shorts!!

    Whats acceptable?

    What do most people wear?

    Is shorts with "Leggins" allowed?

  4. If there is a way of truing a disk i want to know it!

And as for tyre pressure its complete personal preference if you run them lower you will more than

likely get snake bite punctures to start with however when riding natural i have very very low pressure

to get the grip needed!! Pump them up to 30psi then let them down bit by bit see how you feel!

  5. Looks good mate!! Especially for £100!

As for the front brake take it off the bike and push the pistons back this will stop it dragging!

And the rear Vee, undo the little nut at the back where the wire goes through and pull more wire through

    this will make it tighter!

  6. Afternoon guys,

My bike is making a few odd sounds! Its recently had a bttom bracket changed but its making some cracking creaky noises! And its very unsettling, wondered if there is anything that could be fixed or is it the freewheel on its way out? :/

  8. Don't need a jig to true your wheel, use the distances between the brake pads and the rim, or put a ziptie on the frame and use that to see which way the wheel goes. Try some spray lube on the spoke threads that are a bit tight, you might be lucky.

The back and forth movement with the disc staying still will just be loose disc bolts - there's 6 (normally) that attach it to the hub, tighten those.

For the headset, just use an allen key to undo the stem bolts, then do up the bolt in the top cap till the slack is gone. Do the stem back up and you're sorted.

Thanks very much!! Bike shops really are a thing of the past haha! I shall go try true the wheel now!

  9. Hia guys

Got a few problems which are going to be very hard to explain!!

Well i have a couple of spokes that are loose on the back wheel and the thread

has gone so they wont tighten, no bike shop has any time to sort it and i havent

got a jog to make the wheel straight! Anyway im not sure this is the whole

problem! Here is where the fun starts trying to explain...

If you stand the bike still and put the back brake on and rock it forwards and

backwards the wheel moves a couple of inches but the disc stays still.....

Secondly the front end is loose too think this is the headset, anyway of

    tightening without a tool?

Thanks and sorry for any stupid questions :P

  10. I cant get the videos off my phone at the moment as i have no lead :/ however they will be here soon!!

But i can work on the back wheel fine, been dropping off about 4-5ft can turn on the back wheel etc etc!

Sidehop about 12 inches this is definately my weak point!

I have always bled my maguras with water and to be honest i prefer it!

Thanks for the help in the future

I wouldnt even get on my bike without a helmet! I like my head... Even though its like a peanut :/
