  1. Its a magura disc not sure what else. How do i move the pads in?
  2. My front hydrualic disc is very weak and barely stops me and the lever touches the grips when i pull it. Somone told me ishould bleed it. So thats what im doing. Although ive never bleeded a brake before so im going to need your help. What specific tools do i need to bleed a brake easily? I have the allen keys but i dont know what else i need. All advice will help thanks
  3. So dip it in meth then light it?
  4. No its not brand new. Great condition though and okay but what you mean by meth?
  5. Just wondering. Are any of you going to nass in july ? Im there fri sat and sun camping with couple of my mates. They all do trials. Only wondering if ill see any of you there!
  6. Im going to take my pads out tomorrow and clean them. Do i just take the front wheel off and the pads slide out?
  7. hey i was rummaging around for some brake cleaner because my front disc is really dirty and needs a dam good clean. i came across some wd40 and on it says it stops squeeks and removes dirt? would it be ok to use this? also im posotive my pads are contaminated so how do i clean them? do i need to bleed the brake before taking them out or what?
  8. I had the exact same problem when i was learning to peddal kick. what i tried was pulling my front brake then rocking onto my front wheel and without using the back brake get up on the back wheel and kick the peddals slightly whilst doing a mini hop. after you can do 2 of those in a row try introducing the back brake. i found that i phisically cannot have 2 fingers on my rear brake so i tried 1 finger. that worked for me just give it ago but thats how me and my friends learnt peddal kicks and now we can hop quite nice gaps.
  9. Nice gap mate. My friends and I may plan a trip down there for a day or so because it's only 40 or so miles from us. The rocks look nice too, would be good practice.
  10. Im in yeovil. that would be very helpfull actually
  11. ah thankyou i heard about grinding but didnt understand what it was. ive never bleeded brakes before. im new to these kind of brakes so i dont know how to do it. what tools do i need?
  12. Hello. i just bought a monty 20" bike (custom built). I have noticed a few problems with the front hydraulic disc and the rear brake is insainly squeeky and has the rear rim is very rough, had to be done on purpose, somone told me it was for extra braking power but i dont like the noise it makes when i apply the brake. is there any way to fix the rear rim like by sanding it or somthing? my front brake is lacking sharpness and i dont know how to check the pads incase they are worn or somthing. (this is my first trials bike lol) please help me! My mate has a onza rip and his front v-brake is sharper than my hydraulic disc.
