    As above - you need to move the levers further in so your finger is more towards the end. That or you just need to strengthen up a little.

    I was the opposite when I first started. Really struggled with the mod's but got along with a 26" perfectly well. Although I'm about to start up again with a 26" so will see whether that still rings true
