Unfortunately Lewis won't be riding for a while, he slipped and fell on the ice the weekend, bust his wrist! Like father like son.. He's not happy (

Thanks mate, he really does try! Cheers, I'll mention the two finger thing to him, thanks. He is a little bit obsessed in making more and more videos, which I don't mind, what he is over obsessed with is getting his video view rate up! So I'd appreciate a bit of help, any of you chaps care to share his progress, I think it must give him school playground cred, or something! Or a bit of advice on how to increase the number of hits )

Thanks for that, we may just try a few hours there at the weekend. Do many people ride there? from memory the skatepark area can have a few 'unsavoury sorts' there at times. My mates son had his bike pinched from under him a few years back..!

Since selling my Inspired element due to a broken wrist and consequently not riding any motor trials until its fixed I've been spending more time with my 9yr old son. His riding is definitely improving, here is a very short vid from today. I knocked the box up for him and he pulled this off within 5 minutes..
  9. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=U6lGinB4nTM Lewis is improving
  10. At the weekend I had a big off over the bars, I've managed to smash my right hand scaphoid, consequently I'm sat here with a pot on up to my elbow... Following my bad back issues earlier this year I've decided to sell the Element.... I'm going to to stick to motorcycle trials as its much safer )
  11. Sign of old age maybe, but I've had a bad back since April, so not much riding been going on.. However my lad has hardly been off his Onza. Here's a short video from this weekend. He is definitely improving.
  12. Here's a little update. A few weeks on and some improvements have been made. It's certainly helping to keep me fit and keeping me sharper for competing on the Motorcycle trials bike..and my boy is getting better too It's not day 2 by the way. More like week 4
  13. One day I hope to be able to ride as well as this, thanks for taking time to make and share your video.
  14. Thanks mate, I'm suffering today though, aching all over my upperbody. Couldn't ride today because of the rain, which is probably not a bad thing, gives me some chance to recover, but I cant wait to get back out on it next weekend A few more weeks and I should be a bit more bike fit, which is what I'm lacking at the moment......... it's all good fun
  15. Yep, honestly, it was my first day riding a trials bicycle yesterday.. I have about 30 years motorcycle trials experience and still regularly compete at club and centre level, although not as much as I'd like to these days So I guess some of the skills I've picked up help me ride cycle trials. It's good to ride with my son on the push bikes, maybe once he's a little older I hope we can ride motorbike trials together too. When I get chance and my riding improves there could be another video in the making. Thanks for the comments so far, I was a little unsure as whether to bother posting my crummy little video on here compared to what I'd seen already, but I'm glad I did
  16. Here's a little video of my first day with my new bike I've never had a trials bike before, but I come from a bmx, MTB and motorcycle trials background of over 30 yrs, I'm 42. I bought my 8yr old an Onza Rip for Christmas last year and it looked like too much fun Big thanks to Adam at Tartybikes for sorting me out with this Inspired 26'', I love it..
  17. I 've been riding motor trials since 1986, BMX since 1980 I bought my 8yr old an onza rip at xmas, I want to ride with him, so an echo 26 is on the cards for me. I still ride my restored Hutch Trickstar Biking is in my blood, age wont stop me having fun, well not yet anyways. I'm 42
