  1. It won't really be particularly relevant as the Fourplays have a super steep seat tube compared to most other frames, so that'll skew the overall top tube length a bit. If you got a frame which had the same length TT as your Inspired but with a normal seat tube angle, it'd feel a lot shorter overall.

thanks ali for clearing it up bud

Measure it from one end to the other I reckon. Do want me to bring my tape measure round?

not so easy as that joe as ali just pointed out

  2. Why switch out inspired forks for what looks to be an inferior product? :/

inspired forks are like odyssey director forks echos are more like normal bmx forks which i prefer riding skate parks and dirt jumps on the inspired forks scare me to death with the amount of flex that they produce

also after putting that i have found black market tech 9 forks which have a 414mm a to c only 4mm more than the inspired so going to run them

  3. I sort of found the opposite - I found the Moto RT tyres almost felt more knobbly than the Holy Rollers, and were a lot slower. The big flat blocks on the Holy Rollers seem to make it more like a slick, whereas the smaller blocks on the Moto RTs make them more like a 'normal' tyre. If I was riding more natural stuff I think I'd probably go for the DMRs, but yeah, for street I much prefer the Holy Rollers just because they seem to roll a lot better.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, but the bike looks sweet. Like the flanges too - if I could find grips I liked with flanges, I'd be all over them!

i guess it personal preference ,im glad some one likes flanges to must be a bmxer thing ;-)

hopefully getting a video together in the next week or two :-) watch this space

  4. ive ridden flanges on bmx for 4+ years best things since sliced bread when doing turn downs lookbacks and such just feel more in control and dmr motos just feel stiffer and have more surface area contacting the floor miles better for park and street holy rollers seem more dirt jump and street when i rode bmx people ran holy rollers never could feel confident with them ran odyssey dirt paths instead mile better contact area bit like the moto

  5. OK so this is my inspired pro 2012 bike things i have changed are:

    powder coated frame gloss white

dmr moto 2.4 tyres as the maxis ones are rats

trialstech cranks and bb because bash and echo sl ffw 18-12 gearing no tension is perfect

    bonz high rise bars

and odi long necks with flanges

i also upgraded the brakes from avid elixir 5's to shimano saints but due to the rear one having a leaky lever im riding brake less till its back from shimano on warranty

I know im going to get slated about the front free wheel but i ride skate parks and street and natural and its perfect for all don't really notice it when doing manuals or flowing hips and bowls

  6. when looking through this forum i've noticed theres not many disc brake reviews like there are maggy and pad reviews so i thought id start one

    main things are:

    make:

    model:

    bike used on:

    pads used:

    rotor used

    rotor size:

    front rear or both:

    good points:

    bad points:

    ill start

    make:avid

    model:elixir 5

bike used on: 2012 inspired fourplay

    pads used:avid organic

rotor used: avid clean sweep 3

    rotor size:203

    front rear or both:both

good points: the only good point i can find with them is there cheap and good for beginners

bad points: i got my brakes brand new on my 2012 inspired fourplay and all seemed good till they just have no bite or hold even with 203 rotors i ended up on my arse a few times when they slipped and then the rear lever popped and i sent it back to avid received it back and it still feels spongey and does not hold or bite

conclusion: will not be buying a set again or running them on a trials bike as i value my life

    make:magura

    model:mt2

bike used on: 2012 inspired fourplay

    pads used:oem

rotor used shimano xtr ice tech

    rotor size:180

    front rear or both:both

good points: cheap, light, easy to shorten hose and bleed front brake is great doesn't rub and bites and holds ok for now still bedding in

bad points: rear brake rubs constantly on the rotor and seems to knock when gapping tried re setting the caliper everything no luck and everythings tight and no bite adjustment

conclusion: going to give them a week if they don't improve i shall be selling them and buying echo tr discs as i know they work

    post your situations below

  8. love watching seans vids so creative and people moaning about its bmx on a trials bike but bmx started as racing not street riding its just people pushing the sport to new heights i will admit the last month of me owning an inspired has been the most fun riding in the 4/5 years or riding trials period instead or riding to inch pinch and brag about it on here and facebook its just about riding with your friends and enjoying yourself
