  1. Thanks for the good comments

sick riding like how you just keep on riding hitting more stuff, I'm worn out after like one pedal kick lol. Only thing I'd say is you need to get some editing software so you can cut all these clips in to one sweet video

Remember to breath during your pedal kicks/ lift weights. Yeah i'm going put them together sometime. :wink2:

The third video 'MARKET STREET' looks famliar to one of Ryan Leech's old videos. Think it was a miss-timed rail gap.

Yes you are right this is the rail gap where Ryan Leech's tire slips out and he smashed his balls hardcore on his top tube in the Evolve Video. The rail or his tire must have been wet that day. :giggle:
  2. Man your style is wild. I like it. Id love to see a street video. My only gripe would be that you didn't edit the clips into one video.

Yeah i love riding street. I plan ride with the camera with me so i will hopefully have some urban clips. yeah i gotta get familar with sometype of editing program.

  3. I love zebdi's, but if that's how you like your front end, you need a new frame lol.

That's a mod front end with a zero rise bb!

Even for the hoppy pogo moves, you'd benefit from a lower shorter stem. 90mm x 10/15 ish, do it!

Yeah it is a bit a a frankenstein bike but i like it. Thanks for the input Had a 90mm stem, i like this one better. Lol it does kind feel like a mod bike up front. I put the planet x for beside the echo one today that is on the bike and bike and it appears to be almost exacty the same in geometry. The planet x for puts the wheel a little more forward but the fork legs are the same length. This pic i took from a crouched position, it may make the bars seem taller than they are.

  4. Yeah the bars are definatly up there. Gives alot of leverage over the front end. The rockman stem is not able to be run with spacers on the top of the stem due to the sloping angle and special top cap. Dont want to cut the steerer too short too soon (forks are new). It will probably stay like that unless i feel it needs to go lower as i ride it more. I have carbon spacers that im going to replace the stack of aluminum ones with. See if they hold up/creak. Happy with it now, i might get an alternate shorter stem to try out to switch up geometry to bring the bars a little closer to maybe do some streetier/bmx like tricks(180s 360s). Rotation is easier/more controlable with shorter stem i think. Love the leverage for the trials moves(pedal kicks, sidehops, and ups in general.) as it is now. All about sweet trials moves for now. I gotta give it a paint job too to spruce it up. Will eventually get maxxis holy rollers 2.4 front and back im thinking. 2.4 may be excessive for the front though we will see. Would sure be cushy/bouncy. I love my new lousie 203mm brake up front and would like one on the back but i do not have a disc rear wheel. Love the king engagement and dont want anything less after using one. my king hub works great still. Just not ready to shell out the cash for a king disc hub/new rim. Time to find some tar for my rear hs33s so they lock well.

  5. ive never used any specialized pads. I need to find some asphalt tar. Rub some on the rim for good brakes. Its basically free too. Will squeal like no other but works well. Want stickier brakes just put more on. Need to find somewhere they are paving a new road/repaving and grab a chunk of tar that is laying around. Rub a little on the rims for the brakes to lock up well. I havent tried any pads yet that companies sell but eventually will probly try the rockmans. As far as im concerned tar is real deal. Just got to find some again. If you are sick of sticky brakes you just let the tar wear off and you have regular brakes again. Spin the wheel and apply as neccesary. A little chunk lasts a very long time. I actually had alot of it at one point but then threw it out. I wish i didnt.

  6. The front end is........different!

Yeah the stem/bars gave the bike a really sweet rise, good for someone like me 6 ft with long arms. Front end is superlight compared to before. Had planet x steel fork and hs33s and chunky shorter stem. Rear wheel manuvers/sidehoping is easier then before. Geometry feels better then ever.

  8. Ive them on my zebdi. It made the front end super light compared to the old planet x steel fork. Havent done any huge stuff on them yet. Dont know if i trust doing front wheel pogos on it but they are super light and feel good doing everything else. Got 203mm lousie carbon lever bat brake with new storm sl rotor. The rotor is very light with many cutouts. Works well but am going to try a rotor with less holes in hopes of maximum clamp force on the rotor + more consistent braking. Just ordered a 203mm avid roundagon rotor. It is alot less holey. See how it works and see if the SL forks hold up to all the brake power. I want to do alot of front wheel stuff too, if they break they break, ill get the urban ones next.

  9. Im just cheap i guess. I remember it was like 20 or 30 dollars for the kit (drill, tap, helicoils, instructions) for 1 specific size i needed. Came with plenty extra heicoils too, i only needed one. I guess it wasnt that expensive after all. Definity worth it cause they work and will get you back up and running.

  10. Got the ECHO TR front disc brake with 180mm rotor. Was not impressed by the power. Also had a slight seep and only had riden the bike a couple of times. Returned that brake. They may have not been completely broken in as well. Takes a while being that a trials bike gearing does not have a high speed to slow down from. Scrapped the ECHOs. Got Magura lousie brake with carbon lever and on the fly adjustment and 203mm rotor. Night and day difference. The magura brake has boatloads of power. Lever feels great, very little pull is needed for lots of brake power. I think they are still breaking in so they are just getting better. Magura has 5 year leak warrenty. I have always been happy with Magura. Go with Magura you wont regret it. According to maguras manual the the only thing more powerful than a lousie with 203mm rotor is the Gustav brake which i believe is specifically designed for freeride/dH if you are looking for even more power.

  11. I was like 12 years old and was in town during a arts festival. The local bike store was a major cannondale dealer. Libor Karas was sponsored by cannondale and did a trials demo in the middle of town. Next Christmas santa claus got me a cannondale f500 bike with cadd 2 frame. I was quick to replace parts with trials parts like maguras, raceface cranks small chain ring, IRC Gato tires, azonic bars, low seat. Been riding ever since.

  12. while your on the subject of knees i snapped my chain today and proper cracked my knee on the stem it has hurt all day, i cant walk, straighten it or bend it for that fact, the stiller it is the better, is it possible i,ve fractured it.

I broken my hands and hip before but they are nothing compared to this. any advice would be a great help

    cheers

It is possible to fracture your patella(knee cap) After injury if possible it is good to get an x-ray to rule out fractures. An x ray may be hard to get though, I know i dont have access to an xray machine or have health insurance. Medical bills are expensive,, just throw some duct tape on it and drink some robotussion and everything will ok. Just kidding.

Bottom line: Get an xray if you think it is fractured. And do what the doctor tells you. Get a stronger chain and replace them regularly. Wear knee pads (yeah i know its not cool or comfortable).
