not sure about the deore brakes but I know on downhill bikes people a run saint caliper and xtr lever. so I would assume it should work.
-
I was wondering if ther was any down sides to these, I would assume that the brake should push evenly on the rim but how have people found these?
-
I'm just wondering if this is the quality of a custom made frame how did he get repeat business? was the quality better to start with and then get worse as more requests came in?
-
yer getting used to it now mate, just need to get out on it a bit more!
-
sounds like a great idea especially as we are now entering the winter months, i don't really ride street either so id be happy to pay to ride somewhere in the dry!

For example I posted in the wanted thread and now I am sorted, would of thought it was easier if I could just delete it.
-
Just wondering why I cannot delete my own topics, wouldn't this help clear out space!
-
It won't if the freewheel is locked under pressure, touch wood!
-
you cant get to the tool side as it's on the inside, seen a vid on tartybikes that uses a chain and a vice so should be able to sort it. Thanks for the reply anyway.
-
whats the best way to remove a screw on freewheel from a rear wheel?
-
Lol run maguras mate, looking at a Rockman slate frame from ebay and he is selling these forks also.
-
Looking a possible frame and fork purchase and from the feed back I have seen so far have said that these forks are renound for snapping. But I think most of the chat is a number of years old so are the newer one ok now?
Cheers

How's the weather holding up there? Possibly coming up from Yorkshire but don't fancy a wash out!
-
Cheers for the replies, sadly have no spare funds at the moment to buy one right now which is crap!
-
After having a few goes on bikes with a high bb I think I would definitely consider upgrading from my onza 0mm rise!
The thing is I would want to put my stuff onto the frame it would need to have a 135mm rear wheel spacing and run a rear free wheel. Bb height of around 40-50mm. Most likely second hand, im not looking to buy now just looking for what frames would be good to look for.
what do people recomed?

look at the geo of the bike regardless of full sus or hard tail. something that can easierly pedal and send down hills sounds like a slack angled hardtail.

Have you got a link to some longer ones?
