  1. On that wheel set would I be best to go for disc hubs even though I run magura front and back? Thinking for resale etc. Is £40 about right for a tensile 70? If I got the disc tensile hubs I would guess it would be a good combo?
  2. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=350752519742&index=3&nav=SEARCH&nid=34231132736
  3. What would this wheel set be like in comparison to the ones that came standard on onza cleaner?
  4. Just received the dmr hub and it looks spot on for the money, the freewheel on the back needs changing as it has the same amount if engagements as the one I have on now! What would people go for, again trying not to spend loads.
  5. I've gone for the hs33 2011 ones. Figured that t has a 5 year leak warranty so I'm covered for that plus I would of changed the pads from the standard ones any way so for £72 it seemed a good deall. Fingers crossed I get a good set!
  6. the dmr price has gone down so i droped him a msg.
  7. isnt the ebay link just a rear brake and not a front?
  8. what mod would it need? i thought the 2005 version were directional only?
  9. was going to purchase a 2005 front brake because i have one on the rear (really like the feel). but i have come across a 2011 trials edition for £6 more. now im stuck!!! 2005 http://activesport.co.uk/shop/article_hs33_0000-002/Magura-HS33-Hydraulic-Single-Rim-Brakes.html?pse=coa or 2011 http://www.swinnertoncycles.co.uk/components-c169/brakes-c176/hydraulic-mtb-c386/magura-hs33-trial-rim-brake-2-finger-lever-black-p32455?utm_source=froogle&utm_medium=ppc&utm_term=magura-hs33-trial-rim-brake-2-finger-lever-black-marbhs332trsb&utm_campaign=froogle%2348615# i have seen an old thread about them but woudnt a fresh point of view on them. cheers
  10. so for £40 it is worth it? + build cost. as i progress i will replace it/wheel/bike etc.
  11. is there any other brand apart from hope, chris king that do a reasonably priced hub? im watching the usual ebay, pinkbike etc for a good 2nd hand one but know luck yet
  12. would this shimano saint be a good choice for the money? £40, few years old but least its brand new. its has 36 engagments with 3 sets of prawls, is that good? as im not sure on this side of things. i am going to reuse the rim that i have so only looking for just a hub. leaves sum extra cash for a new front rim brake! struggled with my disc on sunday, brake faded for some reason and its fine for air etc.
  13. few pics from last nights ride with Paul Hayward

  14. Thanks for the replays everyone, I can see it going towards the change of hub route as its probably the cheapest. I would say the frame and some parts on the bike doesn't wararant a large some of money to change the drive train around as its only an entry level bike. After the basics have been changed I wouldnt go any further as i would ne better buying a more compatant bike. Plus I don't think my skill level needs the best stuff just yet. More reliable and solid. Only done 1 trial so far the bikes showing a few battle scares!
  15. That's a bit of a crapper! Do many secound hand ones pass through here at reasonable prices? A friend uses a hope pro 2 but the prices are nearly a third of what the bike cost!
  16. I have just recently bought an onza cleaner to get back into it, after a 7-8 year break! Only changing a couple of bits until I think a better bike is needed. I've put hydro disc on front, New bars and stem bought, with a plan for lighter forks sometime soon. Ok the main reason for the post, I find the standard onza wheel sturdy enough for what it is but the freewheel engagement is crap. Be lucky if it has 21 clicks in a full rotation! What do people recommend, stick it out? Can I simply change freewheel? Or is it a new hub? Didn't want to go for whole wheel due to costs. Although 2nd hand is always an option. All opinions welcome, thanks if you managed to read down this far! cheers.
  17. Can't beat a little trip down memory lane! Richmond school over SFX all day long!
