  1. We did a 3000 mile trip to the french alps for the megavalnche last year. 9 people, 13 bikes in a f**ked LDV minibus. Was a right laff, read all about it here. Off in two weeks to do much the same thing again, I'm excited.

All you need for a road trip is some like minded idiots and a vehicle, the rest will sort itself...

  2. Haha! The day today! Love it. Ever seen Brasseye?

    'Abso-bloody-exactly'

'Shit! Did you see that, he must have a foot like a traction engine!'

'This paedophile has disguised himself as a house.'

'Genetically, paedophiles have more genes in common with crabs than they do with you and me. Now that is scientific fact. There's no real evidence for it, but it is scientific fact.'

  3. Be careful with ratings on speakers there's PMPO (peak music power output) which is a measure of audio amplifier power output. It's deceiving because it considers an amplifier's power output under perfect conditions and only for a short instant. Then there's RMS ratings, these are the ones to look at.

For example on your second set of speakers:

    Product Specifications
Nuopo newest 2.1 multimedia systems; Piano painting on the front panel.

    Output Subwoofer (RMS): 20W

    Output Satellite(RMS): 10W

    Output P.M.P.O: 500W

    So they're really only 20W and 10W...

  4. If anyone wouldn't mind shedding some advice I'm thinking about buying some Thirty Two, Exus Boa boots. They're £129.99 in Slide and look swish. They've got the boa lacing system so you can get them on and off really quick, if you get cramp which I get quite a bit!

Those look pretty good but try on as many boots from as many different companies as possible and go for the comfiest ones, try not to be swayed by price or looks. Boots that don't fit will ruin your fun (give you cramp).

I've got some thirty-two boots and they're lovely, you can get them heat moulded to your feet which improves the fit.

  5. did you not find the other single track areas in mabie? cause there is ALOT with some MASSIVE jumps n doubles...

We didn't do the red route at Mabie where all the best single track is because we rode the blue and all the north shore stuff instead but I'm planning on going back at sometime and riding it cos it sounds cool.

What happened to Mink's Orange Crush hardtail?

Im off to Haldon again on Sunday, Scotland looks miles better but Haldon is only a 2 hour drive, it better not rain on Sunday!

The Crush frame is sat in my garage, I felt the need for a bigger, heavier and more burly Orange so I bought a patriot frame :) Might build the patriot into a full on downhill bike and build the crush back up into a tough XC bike.

I don't think you're doing too bad with haldon, it looks pretty nice.

  6. Another riddle:

Three identical cylinders are filled with unknown quantities of ideal gases. The cylinders are closed with identical frictionless pistons of mass M. Cylinders A and B are in thermal equilibrium with the room at 20 oC, and cylinder C is kept at a temperature of 80 oC. Is the pressure of Nitrogen gas in cylinder A greater than, less than, or equal to the pressure of the Hydrogen gas in cylinder B? Is the pressure of Hydrogen gas in cylinder C greater than, less than, or equal to the pressure of Hydrogen gas in cylinder B? Why?
