Thanks guys, I haven't made it yet, so its a matter of whether the seat tube sticks through the top tube or not, plus the top tube would be lower if there was no seat/place to put one. I sure wouldn't remove a seat from a bike that is intended to have one after hearing about you accident there trials monkey!

Building a 26" street/trials bike later this year, and am wondering whether a seat is really necessary despite popular brands like Inspired and Ozonys using them. I have one on the bike I use for urban at the moment but never even touch it? Could it be useful in the future as my riding progresses? If I cannot justify it performance wise, I think I will do without. Any help appreciated!
