  1. Fantastic build. Have always wanted one, all it needs is a playing card in the spokes with that moto seat...

Wouldn't have any trouble drawing up the graphics if you need them. Can't do much about printing but that's only half the job.

  2. Favorite trick... loosen the pinch bolts on the stem/steerer junction enough that it's breifly rideable but any attempt to turn results in crashing. Best on a brakeless bike.

Leave in sketchy area and sit with a good view. Film for best results

  3. That's either an Echo or a Rockman from the looks of it, not actually a custom frame

The local echo/zoo is dual maggie and nearly costs more than retail, I'd certainly choose new over it

but there are indeed better options used

If you haven't ridden a modern trials bike a Koxx-esque bike could just be painful and easily damaged

What riding background do you come from and what sort of riding do you want to do

So looks like you've already got a street bike, what do/don't you like about it

And why are you opposed to a mod? If you're under the impression they're for shorter people that's simply wrong

  4. That's just made me realise something.

All those "friendly" Glaswegian kids that seem to have a very strong desire to know how much my bike is worth and where I live probably just want to steal it.

They're not being friendly at all, the little sh*ts!

Hah, any time I get asked how much my bike is I just say 'Just a hundred or two, as much as any bike.' Probably help that my bike is raw and brakeless no less, but my bud's "It's around 3 grand" Koxx is the one that's gonna get knicked!

If I had to guess these fellas are just going to scrap the bike at this point, though I've seen equally unique and even more expensive bikes get taken and never seen again..

  5. I'm mainly a Unix-like user and just run Adobe stuff virtualized or under Wine anyways... I personally feel like the OSX workflow is pretty archaic though, and it makes a habit of taking over stuff to make it 'easier.' I suppose it's better than Windows 8 at this point but that's not saying much.

I've actually been looking for a new laptop as well. Main considerations have been the (15") ThinkPad W540 (2880x1620) and Dell XPS15 (3200 x 1800), but been looking at the (13") Aspire S7 (2560 x 1440) and Samsung Ativ 9+ (3200 x 1800). Preference is probably more towards 15" and I think most of these save for the Samsung which I don't know too much about will support GNU/Linux fairly well.... although I'd be buying used for any of these

  6. I fancy the new dell XPS's screen. I don't really get the allure of Macs for graphic design though, as a freelance web and graphic designer... especially when they don't have a proper graphics unit. I'd build a desktop for sure and just use whatever you've got when you when you need to be mobile.
