  1. Carrying a knife would be a deterrant as someone said before, they're hardly gonna kick the shit outta someone with a knife...

A group of people who have clearly set out to cause trouble, vs one puny 14 year old with a blunt penknife? (Y) They'd laugh at you, take the knife off you and then probably hurt you with it.

  2. I've got 24GB of music, but all of it's legal ish. Just my own CDs and some I've borrowed. I suppose that's not particularly legal... But I haven't been near a P2P program in years.

  3. (Y)

I hate these storys they get me realy pissed off. At least they didn't get your bike. I think a small 'self defence' knife should get carried from now on.

As if you are gonna stab someone though. There's no point carrying it if you're not gonna use it!

  4. its a brand new computer with xp, when I lug my camera in, nothing comes up. It does with my digital camera.

I think the problem is I dont have firewire, there is no port at the back of the computer (though there is a dv cable port on the front).

The socket on the front of your PC probably isn't actually connected to anything inside the PC. Either that or the drivers aren't installed. Go on Control Panel - System, Hardware, device manager, and try and find something that says IE394/firewire or something to that effect. Or possibly an unknown device with an exclamation mark.

  5. Would something like this do?

    Thanks,

    Callum

They will probably be pretty shit quality, but if you're not a mechanic or something, they'll probably be fine. Although you probably won't need all of that, so it might be worth trying to find a smaller set, with higher-quality tools for about the same price. Also, bike tools like BB tools won't be included in that set so you'll have to buy them separately.

  6. Sam, stop loving it, start riding it! :S

Nice bike, ride the thing though! Looks like you've left it in your shed just so you can upgrade it and take pictures

Yeah, exactly. It looks really nice because it's new and shiny and it's clearly not really been ridden.

  7. Search www.download.com for 'file recover' - it brings up a few results.

Assuming you havent overwritten the disk space which the file was using with some other data since its been deleted, you should be able to recover it :S

And in the meantime, don't write anything to the disk. Install the program elsewhere and don't use hibernate!

  8. I guess you've read the instructions for the camera? If it's on Windows XP, you should just have to plug the cable into the firewire port and turn the camera on, and windows should make a nice noise and install the drivers. Unless there's something wrong with either the camera or the fireiwre port. Go on control panel, network settings. Is there anything that says firewire (or IE339 or something, I forget the exact code)? Or just the internet connection?

  10. I'd like a chain somewhere - either around my arm or my ankle. I think that would be cool and very apt for me. I can't see it looking too bad when I'm older, and if it does, f**k it. You only live once. I always used to think (when I was a kid) that getting a tattoo was stupid. I mean, you get it done and it looks Ok, but you're stuck with it for the rest of your life. But you begin to realise that life is pretty short, and if you don't live for your teen years/ your twenties, when are you gonna live?

The only thing that stops me is that a chain isn't particularly original - I'd like mine to be very personal - something that no one else will have. But that might not be possible.

  11. My mate always has a new eBay name. He is shit at eBaying. Either that or he rips people off. He is the only person I know that has less than 99% positive feedback.

  12. That doesn't make any sense, why wouldn't you edit it. In fact how could you not edit it? One minute is very short, I think mine will be more like two. If you don't like it, I won't be forcing you to watch it >_<
