  1. I live in Trowbridge and went to college in bath and always fancied riding there. It's a pretty city I'm sure there is loads of riding spots. I would definitely bring your bike with you. I'd be up for meeting you there and finding some spots. I bet the uni grounds are good

  2. I just bled my Echo TR brake with water and anti-freeze mix and it is leaking from the bleed screw on the slave. I'm going to try a copper washer and see if it sorts it. but it doesn't seem to be leaking from the lever piston but could be because i can't put any pressure through it yet...

  3. My dad showed me this team's website after he saw them at a local show he went to...

IMO they look good but failrly similar to a lot of other cycle stunt shows, e.g. jumping up and off frames and boxes and a van, and a part where they drop the front wheel out and still ride.

I certainly couldn't do half the tricks they do but its nothing that hasn't been done before. probably more impressive for non trials riders.

  4. Yeah. A screwdriver in the opposite end of the headtube to the cup you're hammering out, with the screwdriver blade against the inside lip of the cup. Don't try to prize them out (I'm not sure why anyone would do that but you never know :P)

My mates dad once made a 'tool' to help get them out without marking the headset. Its basically a big washer (the size of the internal diameter of a headtube), with cut 2 flats into it, allowing it to pass through a headset cup, into the head tube, and rest on the lip of the headset cup. Then get a bit of wood and smash it out from the other end.

    I made my own version of this;

    http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Park-Tool-RT2-Head-Cup-Remover-1-1-4-and-1-1-2-inch_11284.htm

I used a length of steel tube (old pair of handle bars would probably do) and cut 4 slits about 6-8 inches deep and just spread them apart till they were too big to fit in the head-tube, then I squeezed it to get it in the headtube and onto the lip of the cup.

  5. This is Genius!

Out of interest does everyone use the magura hose clamps?(£8)

Only I was thinking of drilling a hole through a peice of wood about the same size as the maggie hose clamps, then sawing it in half down the drill hole... or just sanding a grove into 2 peices of wood. Obviously it will need to be around the same dia. as the hose to prevent it sliping in the clamp or damaging the hose.

    Advice please....

  6. I made a video about 4 - 5 years ago and can't find it... I remember uploading it on a foreign hosting site, think it was German and began with K but may be wrong

Does anyone remember what is was and if it is still around?

I may have linked it on here but can't find it.

    Edit*

Found It, It was Eengoedidee.nl....and my old video was embarrassingly poor

  7. Well I did it, I don't have 2 syringes so I let it flow out of the lever, seems a good bleed but it feels so much spongier than my old 04, even on water. It felt the same before the hose swap too, and the new "bled from the box" HS11 on a mate's bike feels very spongey too.

Are they known for being not very stiff?

could it be that your frame is flexing?... what booster do you have? My new Zona Frame flexes way more than my old Koxx one even with the booster

  8. Just booked a Track-Day for 3 weeks time at Castle Combe on my 2001 Kawasaki ZX9R... It better not bloody rain!!!

All you need is a restrictors certificate because certain insurance company's ask for it, Or some sort of proof such as dyno (This i read is not a legal requirement i heard) and the actual bike to be restricted, They will not view the bike. Yes nothing to stop you removing the restriction but be well aware its illegal and the insurance company's may not pay out in-even off accidents if they take it for testing

Restrictors vary, They can be throttle stops, Washer type things by the carb but mine is directly under the seat with a small plastic box , Being connected by one wire! Because its restricted my old one is present. So it can easily be derestricted in a matter of minutes!

I had a restricted 600 Diversion that I de-restricted, it was just a case of removing the restricting plates from between the inlet manifolds and the block, I had a crash on that and insurance didn't check my bike, but I've heard of insurance companies not paying out due to oversized tires so I guess it depends on the insurance company and the value of the claim.

  9. Hi I recently bought a Koxx XTP off here with full try-all spec and cracked the frame.

I'm thinking of getting a brand new Zona Zip frame... are there any parts that won't swap straight over? e.g. does it need a different head set, or rear hub etc or are all the sizes on both frames standard?

    Thanks.

  10. Diesel is sooo hard to burn it's stupid. Doubt you'd get it burning with a lighter.

Diesel rots seals aswell. I just had to replace some hosing on my van because it had perished, it just gets broken down by diesel.

So really, its a crap idea.

yeah it only burns when it is really hot, or compressed. just use water with a hint of anti-freeze

  11. i'm at college now, had a year out after my GCSE's, you kinda need at least c's to get onto most half decent college courses, they're so easy i didn't really try cos i thought i was going to fail anyway. all my teachers hated me and basically told me that i wouldn't pass so i just went along with it. in the end i got 4 B's and 5 C's

nothing to worry about, you can only do your best, its not worth worrying about, i got drunk the night before one of my exams.

  12. you could probably get a couple of mail order brides for that. you can get them to do anything you like, and at the end of the day you can have your way with them both. if that fails. get someone to buy you a load of beers and get some mates into a feild somewhere and get absolutley wasted, its the weather to get drunk and sleep in feilds too. have a good one mate!

probably not the best place to ask what to get for your birthday. try the birthday forum

  13. stamp collecting, train spotting, snooker, pool, fishing, they all improve your stamina (cardio vascular)

bmxing is a good one i started on bmx, its a lot faster than trials, but i did flatland on my bmx (well i tried) which is brilliant for balance. and its not really that popular so even when your just starting, loads of people think your amazing.
