Thanks for the reply. I guess the issue is moreso the supposed loss of balance or inability to spin as easily with longer cranks. I'm not sure how accurate this is.

After looking on the forum it seems that people prefer 160-170mm (ali c included). This is confusing as it seems that basically all inspired trials bikes come with 175mm standard and all street cranks offered on tartybikes are 175mm. Is this maybe the new standard and 160-170mm was an older style of riding?

I have just bought some hs33's not realising that they come with the Evo two bold mount and my frame is 4 bolt. Would it be ok to use my previous echo tr 4 bolt mount to hold them?
