  1. Cheers for the views guys, just helps to get my head around specing the new rig.
  2. I'm interested to see what people thoughts are about the echo cnc brake from the other year (not the new sl). Although if any one has tried both and can offer any thoughts on which is best please do. Basically I'm looking at upgrading from my old (original design) hs33 set up on the rear, so am looking at the echo tr, echo sl, echo cnc (as it looks the same as the sl and is cheaper) and the bog standard new hs33. Thoughts people?
  3. Thats fair. Annoying bout the frame though, especially when they look pretty cool. What geo you gonna go for with the leeson?
  4. Oh and a further question for everyone, what are people tires choices for 24" rigs? I've got a couple of highrollers from my bighit (one in the commonly huge 2.7, but also a rather rare 2.5 supertacky), for the rear, which is fairly easy. Also heard thatschwalbs are good, if a little on the expensive side. The front is whats bothering me mainly. I've got hold of a 24" tioga blue dragon 2.1 before they sold out on crc. But knowing tioga tires it'll be pretty gash. Any ideas for something light, yet grippy?
  5. Gees man! Thats scary stuff. I hadn't heard much about them, but am definitely gonna steer clear now. What you riding now?
  6. Mate, read the rules, you have to be a member before you can pet stuff up to sell. I'd take this down before it gets deleted by admin and buggers your chances of getting verified soon.
  7. Thats cool. The et24 is pretty much the basis for the 24uk too. Also coincidently I know the arron the guy who makes the fresh products frames through mike singleton and riding with him in cov as we are at the same uni. Will have a chat over msn.
  8. Yeah that was my reasoning too, though a leeson or curtis would be cool as i love steel frames. Its just finding one at the right price and that has got geo that I get on with (what with most of the leesons especially being customs). Cheers for the opinion fella.
  9. At present i ride an onza t pro (Photos here). But since coming to uni 3 years ago I've spent more time riding DH and 4x, but really want to get back to trials now. The problem is that the reason I switched from 26 - 20 is that i wanted something smaller, lighter and more springy (my technique is a tad strange, ask mike singleton). But the mod now feels really twitchy after riding lots of 4x dirt and street, so i fancy something with a bit more flow. As a result im looking at a 24" to keep it small light and tight, and dont fancy any of the new very pure stocks as i want to ride park as well and dont really see myself doing huge taps etc and needing a mega long bike. As such im looking at a heatsink 24 UK frame as the geo seems pretty spot on and the price is good more importantly. Have also ridden a leeson with very similar geo, but as said before im pretty skint so looking for cheap as well. Any thoughts/opinions are welcome. Cheers, Matt
  10. Im looking at drilling a rear 24" bmf and rhyno lite xl for the front and am just wondering whats the best way to go about it. By my reckoning there are two options: 1) Drill the rims before building, from the inside face out, bracing it on some wood (hopefully this wont cause too much in the way of undue force). or 2) Build the wheel and drill it outside to in, (hopefully with the wheel built meaning not too much damage will be done to the rim). Also any sugeested hole sizes would be cool too (dont want to go too big!). Thoughts/ideas any one? Regards, Matt
  11. http://s89.photobucket.com/albums/k234/him...ir/Bike%20Pics/ There we go, photos being up dated later.
  12. Just thought i'd see if anyone out there has got an onza zoot f&f or a cheap leeson fluid 609 going cheap that they want to sell, as i fancy a 24" wheel project bike to play with and am on a budget as its my second trials bike and 5th bike over all (not bragging, just explaining my choice of frames).
  13. Well for trials i've got an onza t pro for my sins however is has been heavily modded (sorry not intentional): Koxx bar and stem Avid front disc Echo forks and cranks Hope xc hub on onza rim front Profile on onza rim for the rear Maxxis sticky fingers tires V12's etc etc For dh and freeride duties i've got a bighit with 66's and lots of other nice dh kit For 4x and street a planet x pitbull with pikes handle things nicely i find And i've got an azonic saber with all mountin 1's for xc/all mountain thrashing. At present the above three need work but will post a link to some pics later. Also, shame less thead stealing time, has anyone got an onza zoot frame and fork they want to sell? I know its another onza, but i fancy a 24" wheel project. Right thats it, ramblings over for now...
